Not at all, I don't think it's supposed to though

I have a few suggestions, none of them are this gloss. This gloss has a paddle applicator. I do not like those for over lipstick. It will slide it around. I like buxom. Buxom has a beautiful shade called leslie. It has that pearl finish you were asking about. Buxom polish has shimmer. Buxom polish, toward the bottom of the page, has a finish called diamond. That has glitter. The regular polish, simply called polish, has very finely milled micro-glitter aka shimmer. Buxom also has a cream finish, no glitter or shimmer. From what you described, you want the polish, again try leslie. Buxom is my favorite gloss that sephora carries. Buxom will exfoliate and moisturize. Your first use, it will exfoliate. I suggest using it at night, while in the house. Your second use, no more exfoliation. Just moisture.
Sephora has their own moisturizing gloss. It works quite well. The color I have has shimmer or finely milled micro-glitter, no large glitter pieces. My shade is more of a berry. Not at all what you were asking about. I do not own any other colors, so I won't recommend them. I suggest looking for sephora gloss, it is new, and adding a question in there about glitter.
My other option sephora does not carry, but it is exactly what you were asking for...so I hope they allow it. It is a brand called Jul3p. just the word jULep.c0m They have glosses. All of them have a pearl finish, no glitter. Just shimmer through that pearl finish. I suggest arousal or the 24 kt gold color, by your description. You cannot go wrong with any shade. There is one that is more of a berry. The others, you would love. I think that is a gloss you would be very happy with the finish on.

This is a good gloss, but I don't think it would be suitable to layer with a lipstick. This product is pretty heavy and the paddle applicator would like smear the lipstick. For layering, I would suggest the Buxom line. I use it often for that purpose.

Tried this lip gloss in the "barely" shade - added shine and did not distort color when used over another lip shade. Within a few days noticed a great difference in my lips - this does moisturize and soften - I am 64 years old and it did wonders for me! (didn't think that could happen!)

try the moi! it would look good on anyone. i have a medium complexion/hazel eyes/natural brown but highlighted hair. my blonde/blue eyed friend tried it and it looked fanstastic. the description of hydration here is accurate! as far as your lipstick trick, i do the same thing you described with this very gloss, and it works great! i put on alba lip balm first to help the lipstick work into the gloss.

I've only tried this in one color (Moi) and it's very hydrating. Probably the most hydrating gloss I've ever tried and I'm a gloss addict. It was fairly pigmented but not really dark. Perfect for summer.
