Questions & Answers for SEPHORA COLLECTION Retractable Brow Pencil - Waterproof

Question
Is it "rubproof"?
I've tried a few brow products and although they may claim to be long wearing or waterproof, most all have rubbed off very easily. How's this one? Any other brands recommended for staying put until removed? I'd rather avoid a complicated three-part process! Thanks :)

I wouldn't call it "rub-proof". I personally have never streaked it when scratching my face but it can be "dimmed" if you scratch or rub on the area. I've never had a product that does stay put all day if I touch the area, however.

Most of it would come off if you rubbed it, especially with a kleenex or something. It stays on pretty well for me. If I get caught in the rain and dont rub it, it will stay put. It is better than most. A regular pencil will come off me, but this one is pretty good. I hope this helped..

The longer you have the brow pen on, the easier it will be to rub off (from my experience) because you face get's oilier throughout the day. To keep them on as "permanently" as I can. I recommend first using a good quality pencil and then going over with good quality powder. And touching up after long hrs or before special occasions.

I have black hair and black eyebrows. I was afraid that the midnight brown would not be dark enough but it definitely it. Apply it lightly for a subtle look and layer it for intense brows. This color should work for you.

I would say so because if you use a black product to fill in brows it tends to look too harsh. one shade lighter would be perfect in my opinion

My eyebrows are pretty close to black, but any black brow pencil I've tried ends up looking atrocious. Midnight Brown is the most perfect shade I have come across. It blends in with my natural color, not too brown, not too black. Hopefully it works the same way for you!

Second darkest or darkest color would probably work best, but it also depends onm how much you are filling in. if it's just a teensy bit, go lighter.
Otherwise, you may want both. You didn't say your skin color, but I am fair, (very) with almost black hair that I lighten a bit. I use a medium brown and a chestnut color. in the mid brow I use the lighter color, and to fill in the edges I use a darker color. GL!

Use a shade that's slightly lighter than your natural brow color. If you use the actual color of your eyebrows, then it might look a little over-dramatic. Hope that helps!

Try going with the lightest shade possible, you can always add on color as this pencil has a very build-able color. I light skin with brown hair and the light blonde color works perfectly for me. This is the best pencil I've ever used! :)

I've heard people say medium brown is the universal color and is normally the safe way to go. Also you are right about not wanting to it to be to harsh, so going a shade lighter than your natural eyebrow is good too.

The retractable brow pencil is great - it's easy to use, doesn't go on too heavy, and the tiny brush really helps in making your brows look good. Try to find a shade that is close to your natural hair color, or it will look fake.

Question
I have black hair (so are my brows) and I prefer more cool browns is the midnight brown shade cool or a warm brown?
I hate using warm browns because they have a reddish tint and I don't like the way they make my brows look but I don't want a black brow pencil because it would be too harsh.

Hi! Depending on your shade of grey, choose the shade closest to your natural hair color. If you're light grey, go for the blonde, a darker grey, go a shade darker. Go as close to your natural brow color as possible.

they say that even a regular #2 pencil, is good for gray hair...makes sense and i used to actually use one years ago when my hair was gray. I use the midnight brown in this , the darkest shade and think it would be fine with gray hair...you can apply it either lightly or heavily, and lighter it would go well with gray hair I think.

If you have fair skin and naturally auburn hair and don't want very dark, defined eyebrows, I'd say this pencil in honey blonde would be perfect for you. I found the honey blonde to be a bit too reddish, warm-toned for me since I'm a blonde who looks best in cool, icy tones, but I think this would complement your hair in a very natural way.
