Questions & Answers for LORAC SelfTANtalizer Body Bronzing Gradual Self-Tanner & Mitt

Question
Does this come off with excess sweating?
I've tried other bronzers/self-tanners that would leave bronze stains on clothes or brown bubbles on skin from sweat. Has anyone had problems with this and this particular bronzer?

I wore a white sweater a day or two after I applied it and I had tan stains under my arms where I was obviously sweating. The good news is they washed out.

It also definitely comes off on light items the day of (had it on my sheets) but I would expect it to bleed on the same day.

YES! I returned this product after a week and a half of using it every other day. It came off on my clothes even after allowing sufficient drying time, and also came off in the shower. Sorry.

i exercise every morning for one hour and have never noticed tanner on my clothes. i usually wear a white tank top and i haven't seen anything on my lighter clothes. i do think you will need to reapply it more often if you exercise and sweat but it seems to wear off gradually without leaving it's mark.

I recommend rinsing the mitt with warm water. I would not recommend using a washer and drier. Lay it flat to dry. I hope that this helps!

i dont know about the washer, but i soaked mine in warm water. i also scrubbed it a little using a tanning remover solution. if i put it in the machine i would definitely put it in a lingerie bag, not loose. or try the dishwasher

I've used this on my face with no problems. I obviously don't use the mitt, but use cut up makeup sponges.

Question
How do you use the mit?
I assume you use the mit's tan side? Do you have to apply a lot of lotion for it to go on smoothly?

Yes, you use the tan side. (The side without writing on it) I didn't have to use any more product with the mitt than without. Very easy to use, and even if you forget to apply in a circular motion as directed, you still get an even application.

answer 2
You use the spongy side, the light side of the mitt. It doesn't take an excess amount of product, just normal. You'll get the hang of how much you want pretty quickly.

Question
how long does it last?
I've recently started to gain interest in this product because it is a self tanner with great reviews, and does not have parabens! What I'm most curious about though is how long it lasts.. It is a small bottle, I'll buy it anyway, but i was wondering how long the bottle lasts before it runs out.. a few months? Anyone who has used this product for a long time, let me know!

I originally bought just the sample size to try it out, I applied a new coat every day for the first week. The gradual tan lasted about two weeks after that. So when I bought the full size I applied it every day for the first week again and about twice a week after with about three days in between application.

On the bottle it says to apply a generous amount onto skin, and they weren't lying, it feels like too much but it's really not. The downside is that it is a lot of product, but it's great stuff!!!

It is not waterproof. However, once the product has developed and dried it does not rub off.

answer 2
It's not waterproof, and you still have to be careful with it rubbing off onto white, I def. wouldn't wear it for my wedding or with white shirt or pants, but I feel like I could wear it with any other color. It seems to be slightly resistant to water once it dries, but if you use soap on your hands, be careful, it will come off somewhat.

after you build up the color for a few day, you are good to go in a pool. It does not come off and lotion is fine with it. I put lotion on like 5 min after I put it on.

I advise to take a shower first and then apply the self tanner. If you wish to take a shower after applying it, I would wait an hr or so for the color to develop.

answer 2
I didn't wait long the other day - just after towel drying, cause I was in a hurry. So, my skin was not bone dry - still a little moist. A little of the bronzer came off on a white sheet but I was completely dry by that time, so I think a little wearing off will be normal. I would try it like you do your regular lotion, because the texture of this is very much like a normal lotion - it sinks in really nicely.

You can't compare them since this is more of a gradual tanner. If you want a self tanner that is dark & fast St. Topez Bronzing lotion is awesome!! I actually have both depending on what im wanting. Too Face Tanning in a Tube, I prefer, is is very similiar to SelfTANtalizer.

answer 2
Tantalizer is just an immediate body tint, and doesn't have any self-tanning ingredients. Once it washes off, the color is gone. This product is called Self-Tantalizer because it also includes the self-tanning ingredient DHA.

Samples are a great way to try new products & we include three free samples with every Sephora.com order. The sample selection is listed on our website and changes frequently, so check back often to see what we're offering. At this time we are unable to send custom samples from our warehouse. Another great way to try new products is to visit your local Sephora store. At the store, a Cast Member can make a tester for you of any products that we carry. They can also answer questions for you and make recommendations for other products. To find a store near you, check out our store locator. Thanks!
