Hazardous Material shipping restrictions
Why does this fall under the Hazardous Material shipping restriction? It looks like a pump, not an aerosol.

My guess is because it is a flammable liquid. Flammable liquids cannot be shipped.

Yeah, it's a pump. The box probably says that because the product contains alcohol.

This is a spray pump, but the back of the bottle says:
EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE. CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE. CONTENTS MAY CATCH FIRE. CONTAINER MAY EXPLODE.

This is probably why it cannot be shipped.

No, I am a dedicated hippie when it comes to sniffing out bad chemicals. This product should not have any animal related chemicals in it.

Alterna told me their Bamboo line is free of animal derived ingredients (which means they use them in their other products).

Can I use this as a heat protectant as well?
I kept using it thinking that's what is was for and only just realized it said "shine." I typically use it on dry hair before straightening.
Am I seriously damaging my hair using this product at that point?

It definitely should not be used as a heat protector. The shine inducing elements are not good to mix with heat styling.
