Usually the ones that have caffeine state it up front. This one has hyaluronic acid which draws moisture in and 'plumps' up the skin. I used a hyaluronic acid face cream and it really kept my face moist and more lush looking (kind of plumped). That may be the way this one works by pumping up the skin through the hyaluronic acid.
