You can do both. I tend to use it in the AM because I use Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse all over my face at night.

I use just a little at night under my eyes when I apply my regular moisturizer, and I also use a little under my eyes in the morning before I apply my liquid concealer, to blend. You can likely get away with just applying it when you feel like you need it, too--it's so refreshing that I'll sometimes dab on a little during the day if I feel like my eyes need some waking up.

I don't have sensitive eyes but for some reason this stings my eyes like crazy and makes them super watery. I hates this cream, I saw no results and it is not worth the sting and irritation every night.

I too have sensitive eyes and have almost ended up with chemical burn dryness from all natural creams because of the acidic content of a tomato based eye cream =/
NOT FUN
this stuff is great! I havent had any negative reactions or tearing. Best thing about sephora, if you do have a problem with the product, you can bring it back for a refund!
Its worth a shot to try.

I also have sensitive skin and have had problems with creams near my eyes burning, however I have no problem with this one. If your still unsure though, you should stop by a Sephora and use the tester product while you're there, so you can make sure it won't cause you any problems.

I have certainly had my share of reactions to eye and face products over the years. I am pleased to share that "It's Potent" has not had any sort of diverse effect on my eyes. It's "potent" in the way that it works and that is all ;)

Yes apply before makeup. Its mosturizes your under eyes (key problem with dark circles) and takes away the flakiness of the concealer that the dark circles can cause. Dont need to apply a lot of cream. Massage into skin and let it sit for a few minutes before applying concealer. DO NOT use a powder concealer, that will cause your makeup to look cakey.

Question
how quickly did you see a change? before/after pics?
I got a sample of this at a Sephora store, and the salesgirl was very excited about it. I just started using it. I don't have lines or get puffy but I do get dark circles. How quickly did you see a change? Do you use it once a day or twice? Does anyone have any pictures of the before and after?

I didn't take before & after photos, so I can't offer that. However, I can tell you that in the first week, I applied It's Potent twice a day and began to see a difference in dark circles that first week. As I continue using it (sometimes once/day, sometimes twice), the results continue to get better!

Question
Is It's Potent! suitable for day and night use?
I can't seem to figure out if it's tinted or illuminating since it says "brightening" in the description. I'm looking for an eye cream that I can use and night AND under makeup and necessary, and I don't want to end up purchasing one that's only intended for day use.

what i've noticed for me is that after time, it is decreasing my eye circles and my fine lines. I use it in the morning under my make up and I'll use it at night under my make up for the clubs. It helps moisturize the eyes so when you apply a concealer, you dont end up with the dried up pruney wrinkly under eyes.

I've found this to be extremely hydrating and soothing in the morning when my eyes are puffy and red from lack of sleep. I've also spoken with a couple of the sales associates at the stores and many women have told them the same thing. I love this product, so my opinion is that you should give it a go. It's a really fair price for what you get, in my humble opinion. Good luck :)

For pufiness try Clinique's all about eyes gel. It comes in a roller tube so it glides easily also you can put in the fridge so it's nice and cool when you apply it. Hope it helps!

This eye cream is beneficial to the eye area in many ways: it brightens, firms, moisturizes and fades dark circles. However, having occasionally had problems with puffiness myself lately, I can tell you that this eye cream did absolutely nothing to help with that. If combating puffiness is your primary concern in choosing the right eye cream, I recommend Skyn Iceland "Icelandic Relief Eye Cream with Biospheric Complex." Sephora sells this and it does help a great deal with puffiness, and also with moisturizing and firming the eye area as well as fading dark circles. I hope this helps you! :)

Eye creams are basically like face creams- use when you feel you need it. Almost any skin care routine is morning and night wash, tone, moisturize (face and eyes.)

Samples are a great way to try new products & we include three free samples with every Sephora.com order. The sample selection is listed on our website and changes frequently, so check back often to see what we're offering. At this time we are unable to send custom samples from our warehouse. Another great way to try new products is to visit your local Sephora store. At the store, a Cast Member can make a tester for you of any products that we carry. They can also answer questions for you and make recommendations for other products. To find a store near you, check out our store locator. Thanks!
