When to apply?
Usually I cleanse, tone. moisturize my skin morning and night. When would I apply this self tanner, and can I moisturize after or is this considered a moisturizer also? I have never used a self tanner, any advice is appreciated!

I always put it on after exfoliating and moisturizing. Put it on at night, wake up to a lovely bronze.

When I apply a self-tanner I use it in place of my daily moisturizer. If after the self-tanner drys (5-10 minutes depending on the product), my skin feels dry then I will also apply my usual daily moisturizer.

I add a mosturizer after the tanner has dried. I have dry skin and prefer a more hydrated feel.

Question
Streaking?
Is this streaky? is it hard to get an even natural tan? Also how long does the tan last? Has anyone with fair skin tried this?

I also had trouble with streaking on my legs. I have what most makeup labels dub "porcelain" skin. However, I also shave my legs, which I think contributed to it. Exfoliating well after shaving and before application seems to help.

This was not streaky at all. It provided very little color though. I could not even tell that I had used self tanner after one generous application (even on my face).

I had a terrible time with it streaking on my legs. I am really fair and it did give a nice color, but the streaking was terrible so I gave up on the product.

After the initial 5-10 minutes of drying, you're good to go. Worked out, went dancing, no complaints here.

It totally disappears into your skin leaving no residue or sticky feeling. I wouldn't work out right afterward and they say to wait 4 hours after any self tanning anyway. But I did a hot yoga class the next day after putting this on at night and I didn't smell, get splotchy or grease up my yoga mat. Definitely one of the best self tanners out there!

It shouldn't as long as you wait a few minutes after you apply. The cream is white so there's no dye in it. It goes on clear and doesn't show up until a couple days later with repeated use.

It doesn't say anything on the box about being waterproof.. I apply it at night before I go to bed then wake up with color...I'm assuming it wouldn't be best to apply it then go in a pool or take a shower. I would wait at least 12hrs plus before getting wet after appyling the product.

answer 2
This sunless tanner is formulated with naturally derived DHA which reacts with skin's proteins to actually change color, developing a tan after four hours. The color will stay for a few days before fading and will not come off in water.

While it is technically not oil-free (Argan oil is one of the main ingredients), I had no problems with my VERY oily skin. It didn't clog my pores or grease up my face.

I am 60 and had no problems with this product settling into wrinkles. It has a very mild color effect, so if you are expecting a deep tan I would look elsewhere. I switched to St. Tropez Tanning Mousse. Although I love the cream moisturing factor in Josie Maran better than the mousse, the tan factor didn't deliver.

Question
For sensitive skin?
Pretty much every sunless tanner I've tried has given me hives. I'm afraid it may be the DHA that causes it, even though DHA is not reported to commonly cause contact dermatitis. I'm curious to try once again with this new product since it has no added irritants. Has anyone with similar issues tried this?
