Peter Thomas Roth Instant FIRMx Eye™

What it is:A quick-fix eye treatment that tightens the look of skin while firming and smoothing the appearance of crow’s feet, fine lines, under-eye puffiness, and deep wrinkles. What it is formulated to do:This powerful treatment tightens, firms, and smooths the appearance of the eye area to create younger-looking skin. It temporarily minimizes the appearance of crow’s feet, fine lines, deep wrinkles, and under-eye puffiness. What else you need to know:Simply apply, let dry, and pat away excess residue to erase the look of fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area. A little product is all that is required to get maximum results applying too much will not increase results. A white residue may be left after product dries in three to seven minutes this is normal. To remove the white residue, pat away excess with fingertips, a q-tip, or a damp cloth. Makeup can be applied over Instant FIRMx Eye, but results may be lessened—it is best when used alone for a quick, temporary pick me up. For optimal results, follow with any moisturizer appropriate for your skin type. Research results:In a consumer efficacy study immediately following application on 25 women, ranging in age from 35 to 65: - 92% agreed that their eye area appeared smoother - 92% agreed that their under-eye puffiness appeared diminished - 88% agreed that their eye area appeared tightened - 84% agreed that their eye area was instantly transformed

How do you put make up over it?
This is a good product and tightens immediately, but I am not sure how to put on make up over it?

I first apply in very small amounts, the eye FIRM x. After several minutes, when it dries, instead of using eye CREAM, I use a lite eye oil product (like Eliz Arden's gold eye capsules or Philosophy's Omega 369 oil. I gently pat a little oil onto the residue. It seems to get rid of the residue without significantly affecting the action of the firmer. Also, apply the FIRMx ONLY where you really need it. Then, you can carefully use concealer, moisturizer, oil, etc. in the the areas under the eye that didn't have product applied to. So, pick and choose where you really need each product you use.

You can dab off the white residue with a cloth. Then continue to use your lotion/make-up routine as usual.

You can also mix this cream with your moisturizer.

I haven't tried over concealer, but under concealer often looks strange. I suggest using more of the cream rather than less. That seems to minimize the white film oddly enough. Try a sample before you buy.

No, you cannot wear makeup either under or over. If you wear it under makeup it loses its effectiveness. If you wear it over makeup, it turns into a noticeable white crust. If you try to use less of it, it won't work at all.

I guess it wouldn't hurt but why would they want to use it. At that age they should have no wrinkles and what will they do when they get older. I would let them try it once. It's expensive and they don't need it.

You have to play with it to find what works. I am able to use some makeup with it. I still like it because there is nothing out there that I've found anyway that will shrink loose skin like it does. I sometimes wear it all alone and it seems to hide some of the discoloration I might have used makeup on. Using more of it rather than less seems to work better.

I only use under my eyes, and don't need any makeup on top of it. It does have a naturally lightening matte finish, so it works really well for me. I don't wear a lot of makeup, but I do wear eyeshadow, liner and mascara every day, those are not affected at all by this product for under eye lines and puffiness.

I have tried EVERYTHING really. Every cream from La Mer, to Dior, Amore, Nutra Bisse. Thermage, Fraxel, lower eye surgery. So when I say this product works, it is not a random comment. It's for certain people with specific issues, and for those with puffines and lines under the eyes THIS WORKS. People have told me how amazing I look, and I'm saying at least 10 years younger than I actually am. Nobody who doesn't know my age would ever guess.

It might be to drying for the entire eyelid but you might try only using on the brow bone and holding the skin upwards as it dries. This will lift the llid without the drying effect on the actual lid.

Instant FIRMx Eye is best used under the eye and around the crows feet area. Apply a thin layer around eye area, a little product goes far, do not over apply. A white residue may be left after product dries in 3 to 7 minutes, this is normal. To remove the white residue pat away excess with fingertips, q-tip or damp cloth. Best when used alone for a quick, temporary pick me up.

I have used this product for my crows feet, expression lines/ frown lines and my laugh lines. It does work on all areas, however, not as effective as using it for crows feet. You just need to be carefull with this product to catch that white resudue. It's not worth the residue for me, you have to keep wiping it off and before you know it, the product is off due to you wiping the residue off.
