I don't have any gray but I did have darker roots and blonde grown out highlights. It covered the differences amazingly and you couldn't tell that it had been 2 toned previously. I hope that helps.

Couture Color doesn't have a color light enough for you, sorry. These kits aren't designed to bleach hair much at all, just color. The light kits tend to be reddish and won't lighten your hair beyond a couple shades if that.

Thank you for your question!

We are going to be coming out with a light blonde that has more of an ash tone, so stay tuned for that shade!

But, if you use the Light (or even Dark) Golden Blonde as a base and then get highlights at the salon (or do them yourself) it is the most GORGEOUS light blonde and actually completely changes the look to a very bright blonde. It is a multi-dimensional, high end salon result (it's exactly what Johnathan does with his celebrity clients), which you will not get out of a standard box of drugstore colour.

You can, but the color you get won't be that on the box. It'll look more like the color tinted your hair with the same tones as the reddish blonde, but on darker hair. It'll lighten your hair 2 shades tops. I colored my hair when it was darker and it just looks more like golden red hair than reddish blonde.

I honestly don't think so. I had light strawberry red hair and just wanted to cover the grays. I now have dark auburn with bright red highlights after using the Strawberry Blonde color!

Question
Do I need two boxes for long, thick hair?
I always end up having to buy two boxes of drugstore color in order to saturate my mid-back-length, VERY thick/coarse hair. I really want to try this, but if I'd need two boxes, $60 isn't much less than going to a salon. Has anyone with very thick hair had good results with just one?
Thank you!

If you have mid-shoulderlength or shorter hair, you should be fine with one box. If your hair is longer or extremely thick, you may want to have 2 boxes on hand just in case.

I don't know a ton about mixing but just as an fyi....I used the strawberry blonde....it was beautiful but darker than I thought it would be. So if you are looking for "blonde" I would stay away from the strawberry as it is MUCH more red than blonde. Good Luck!

Seems like you have had a lot of chemical processes in your hair lately; if I were you I would get a reconstructing treatment at a salon, as well as a consultation, before you add any more color to your hair. Having added and removed so many colors, the shade on the box isn't going to be what you get at this point in time. Work on the health of your hair, get the undesired tones corrected at the salon, and try this color later after your hair has recovered. It is a great color brand, but no color will work magic on damaged hair. Good luck! Signed, a former cosmetologist

It should cover all of your hair. If you use the brush/bowl instead of the squeeze bottle you'll be able to use less to get the same coverage, the squeeze bottles generally use more dye just because you don't have as much control over where the color goes.
