I have think, blackblack hair, I colored my hair with light orangish brown a few months ago. My roots were coming out so I used this product to get my hair back, since my hair was dark black, it changed into really really dark deep black. If you have bright hair I think it wont get really dark as mine, but this is pretty dark, its really pretty black though. shiny deep black, like it!

This is a rich, soft and natural black with no blue and no red. It is a shimmering "ashy" black. It is not a harsh "pitch" black. I am an older woman (60) and I would NEVER wear a hard black color for it would definitely age me. I live in AZ and it's sunny most of the time - this color looks natural and soft even in the brightest sunlight. Very beautiful.

This made by hair a bit dry, so depending on the condition of your hair, I would be careful not to over process the color.

I have had a Brazilian Blowout and have used this product. I was told by my hair dresser that it is best to color before having the treatments as it may lessen the time it is effective. I color about every 4-5 weeks and I haven't noticed more than a gradual change. I would recommend asking your hair dresser - just to be sure.

I have thick long hair, I could have used a bit more product, but I mostly had grey to cover at my roots and was very close to my natural color. I you are going more than one step away from your natural color, I would say get two boxes (note they say not to go more than one shade away). Otherwise I think you will make it with one.
