I never got to see the old concealers in person, however the sand was very blendable, with one side lighter and one side darker. I have medium skin tone, wear laura mercier concealer in a level 2, or Amazing Concealer in light golden, or MAC N25, and it is about the same shade range. Hope that helps.

I went to the Sephora store, and the makeup counter matched me to creme. Then when I came online to actually purchase it, they only had this one. I waited and waited, but the other one never came back, so I just ordered sand. I have found that it matches very very well. There are two shades in the compact--I think the browner one is the same as creme or at least close, and the pinker one is the same general shade, but it's better for under your eyes because of the slight pink tint. Once you run your brush over it, it looks lighter.
I haven't used the old creme concealer before except when the makeup counter people put concealer/foundation/bronzer on me to test out, but this color works great for me, can't tell the difference from that one day, and I love it. I have very fair skin (esp. this time of year).
