Blonde Spray on Dark Roots
I have dark brown, almost black, roots and light blonde hair. Would the blonde spray be able to cover my dark roots?

No, this product only deposits color. It cannot lift dark roots. It's temporary color and only permanent color can lift. That's why it's meant for gray hair.

I have black and grey roots and the blonde spray does cover up well. My only issue is the color match which isn't a perfect match. It's close enough for me to keep using because of its so quick and easy to use. I'd say try it out, you can always return it free shipping and total refund

I dont think it will do anything for you, I have the same problem; however, the product that did help me was bumble and bumble!!!! this does the job of making it look more natural. the rita hazan product was not light enough to help me, the bad thing about the bumble and bumble dry shampoo spray is that is very sticky, it will get in your face, hands and clothes so spray it, let it dry, then brush it or rub it in. I dont like the fact that my nails and face and ears get that brownish stuff on it, and the color is not going to be blonde, but it will give it a gradual look, not that shocking blonde/black look.

I do not think you will be happy working with this product if you are trying to match light blonde hair. Your roots will be lighter with this product, but will have a weird orange cast which makes the roots even more obvious.

true to color, go for the red if you have reddish highlights of any sort on dark hair, the dark hair one is v.dark like almost my natural color, which is a very dark brown 3 shades away from black

The red should work well for you. It's an auburn shade that blends well with all shades of red (auburn, copper, strawberry, bronze and ginger) as well as if you have brownish red.

You can purchase it online here at Sephora or at any Sephora store. Beyond that, I don't know if anyone else carries it or if Rita Hazan has her own web site. If you don't want to buy it from Sephora, I guess you could Google it and see if anyone else sells it and what their price is.

Yes, but you may need two or more cans. I have about 10 percent of grey hairs around my hairline and in using one can every other day, the can lasted less than a month.

No - this is not for a full head of hair......it is a ROOT CONCEALER. If you want to temporarily color, then use one of the washout hair coloring products. Something like that would last through a few washings.

I see this is one ounce, is it a one use product? If not on average how many root touch ups can you get out of one can? Is it a gentle product?
I have very dark brown hair and eyes and a more yellow skin tone. From te description and reviews I am not sure if I am dark brown or light. I use dark brown hair products from other vendors.

One can lasted me about 3 weeks since I only wash my hair twice per week since it is on the dry side and I don't want to strip all oils out. My stylist recommended this also. I have dark brown hair, a few golden highlights, and use the dark brown/black color. I do like it very much. Good luck.

You should try the dark brown. How many times you can use it depends on how much gray you have and how many times you wash your hair. I'm on my second can, it's last me about 1/2 a month each can using it once a week.

I AM 100% GREY WITH MEDIUM BROWN HAIR....I BOUGHT LIGHT BROWN BECAUSE I DO NOT LIKE 100% SAME COLOR COVERAGE. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH MY RESULTS , I HAD TONES OF BROWN & IT WAS NATURAL LOOKING. IF YOU HAIR IS DARK BROWN ,THEN GO WITH THE DARKER SHADE. USE IT SPARINGLY (SHORT WITH STRATEGIC SPRAYS) ANGLE TIP TOWARDS SCALP WHEN YOU APPLY IT. IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY, YOU WILL GET 2-3 FULL COVERAGES OUT OF A CAN. MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT IT DOESN'T COME IN A BIGGER SIZE, STILL THE BEST OF ANY ROOT TOUCH UP I HAVE USED ON THE MARKET. IT DRIES INSTANTLY AND DOESN'T ITCH OR CAUSE IRRITATION....A GREAT WAY TO STRETCH PROFESSIONAL HAIR APPTS! DON'T HESITATE...IT'S A VALUE IN TODAY'S MARKET.

It is hard to say how many uses you would get. Depends on how much you are covering up and how often you use it. I have black hair with many shades of brown highlights. I have brown eyes and a light medium warm complexion and I use the dark brown. It blends in with the multitude of colors in my hair. From my personal experience, I only use it on my part, and the area around my temples and above my ears. I wash a few time a week and I think I could get at least five or six uses. Like I said, this is my personal experience. I hope that helps.

This is NOT just a one time use product-I color my hair every 6-8 weeks, but when I can't afford to get it colored (and I REFUSE to use "grocery store color") it comes in handy. I can get 2-3 months of touch-ups out of this can. The can is small, but the amount you actually use is not that much. About the color you need-I use the Light Brown. I have very dark brunette hair and I am totally gray at my temples and the front section of my hair. I lucked out ordering the Light Brown by accident because all the other brunette selections were out of stock, I can't imagine how DARK the next level is considering the shade of the "Light" brown...

This product is a little pricey, but well worth it considering what we pay to have a professional color. I have even bought one for my hairdresser to try and she reccommends it to her clients even though she doesn't make diddly squat off of doing so...
The texture on the hair is similar to that of really stiff hairspray. It does not sweat off or transfer easily onto hands if touched once dried. I do not wash my hair everyday, so I can say it stays put even when you sleep on it.
Seriously-try it. you will not be disappointed.

If you hair is really dark, then go w/the darker brown. However, my hair is highlighted and so I go w/the lighter brown and it works well. The first time it came out, I bought both browns, dark and light and the lighter one worked better for me.

Question
Is this product messy and how long would one can last.
I have black hair and I imagine it will take more to cover my grey - I have greys only in the top front portion of my hair - if used daily how long would once can last? The price seems steep, but if it lasts a while then it would be worth it.

Any hair product that is black seems to be messy - how is this one?

I used the light brown on my auburn hair, and it wasn't messy at all, but maybe if you have black hair it would be different, not sure. The product doesn't go anywhere you don't spray it, so it doesn't really get into the air around you like hairspray does. If you use short bursts aimed at the grays, it shouldn't get all over. As far as how much is in the bottle, I agree that the bottle is really light in weight, which makes me think there's not a lot in there, but the salesperson said that it should last for a while, judging by the turnover on the testers in the store. I've used mine about 10 times and it seems like there's still more in there. I'm actually counting, just to see. Hope this helps!

These sprays are only really effective for root grow out or spot touch up. It won't leave your hair soft or shiny...just covers roots. With that said, if you only have a spot in front to touch up it probably should work just fine for "in between" salon times.
