I'm pretty sure the pulse point is the rollerball. I have the rollerball and the oil is great! The scent lasts and lasts and when your temp goes up you notice the scent again :-)

This has a lot of the same notes that Hollister August had (I used to love that stuff, can't believe they discontinued it). If you liked Hollister August you should definitely give Boyfriend a shot. It has much the same woodsy smell and I think you will thoroughly enjoy it.

To me this smells like a remake of Victoria's Secret "Secret 88" that was discontinued many years ago. Glad to know it is back in this form.

I think that this one has more notes than August but the muskiness is the same. Not interchangeable, but you might like it!

Don't know what August smells like... but if it smells like it's name, Boyfriend should be similar. I bought the roll-on to start and I'm going to stick with it. doesn't apply too much, though I do have to reapply a couple of hours later. I don't apply much, just enough that I smell or if someone gets close enough :) !

This smells like gross, sweaty man...I pictured a creepy looking guy when I smelt this. Pretty sure the perfume you are talking about would not smell so bad!

I'm not familiar w/ the Hollister scent, but "Boyfriend" reminds me a little of "Calvin Klein- Euphoria" or maybe even "Thierry Mugler -Angel." It's definitely a "woman" scent to me, but has an earthy, sweet + musky tone. Of the three I mentioned, I have used them all and definitely like Boyfriend the best. Hope this helps!

I never tried August, but as far as this one goes I get a sort of man/girlie vibe. It's rich but not too strong and I was complimented by complete strangers twice today! Hope this helps!

I have smelled both (in the bottle & on my skin) & my answer is no. Unequivocally no. I really liked August, but Boyfriend smells absolutely nothing like August (in my opinion of course). Boyfriend smells overpoweringly musky (to where that is all you can smell), 'dirty' (like oily almost...hard to explain), like an old man...smells very...well 'old' (August had a much younger feel i think), this is powdery & 'flat' (i couldn't differentiate top or bottom notes), Boyfriend doesn't smell feminine in any way to me. I smell nothing but an 'old man' scent from beginning to end... August had a good balance between masculinity & femininity; boyfriend is 100% masculine. August was younger, more vibrant but still soft. Boyfriend is not... I think you would get a better end result if you sprayed men's cologne on either by itself or ontop of your own perfume...nearly anything would be better than this.
Who knows though, maybe you'll like it. I would recommend smelling it either way. But no, I would not compare it to August in any way.

This scent especially the roll on oil is very mescaline with a sweet side. When you smell you don't quite know if it's for men or women, I've never smelled the hollister scent so I can't compare, but this will not dissappoint.

Agh, I hate when they discontinue your favorite items. I am not familiar with August but I'm pretty sure you will love this one. Try out the $20 oil to start with....see if you get compliments! I bet you will!!

I have the EDT and my Mother has the pulse point. I think that they do smell differently. I prefer the EDT. For some reason the scent lasts longer with it and it is more full bodied.

Didn't notice a huge change in the scent, but in the intensity, last, etc.

I have the roll-on. Though it doesn't last as long as other applications, I can tell you that it doesn't bruise easily. Also, the scent itself doesn't seem to lend itself to many changes. Hope that helped!

I think the pulse point is really nice to keep with you for "touch ups", but the perfume is a must for "all over" scent.

the pulse point oil did not leave a lasting fragrence. in fact... even right after i put it on... it was not noticable. i loved the perfume and so was very disappointed when i ordered the oil instead... to save money.

The EDP and roller ball smell slightly different when first put on... the pulse point roller ball (which I believe is a dry oil) goes on with a much stronger vanilla note at first, but fades to the smell of the EDP if you rub your wrists together... Also, the scent of the roller ball seems to last longer.

The pulse point roller ball smelled sweet, sexy, lasted long. Vanilla. The bottle of the perfume smelled like feces - really!

The Pulse Point oil leads with vanilla, the EDP leads with patchouli and the body oil actually smells oily..not my fave...my fave is the pulse point oil

The EDP is a little sweeter and stronger than the pulse point oil. I haven't tried the dry oil

The pulse point oil is a lot more mellow and blends easily with body chemistry. The EDP is MUCH too strong.

I tried it in the store. It has a stronger scent than the roller ball. It wasn't too greasy and absorbed into my skin (back of my hand) in about 5 minutes. I liked it, but ultimately chose the roller ball to keep in my purse for touch ups through out the day.

Boyfriend oil is dry oil. Compliments the scent. Great for after the shower body moisturizer/hydrator. Can be used alone as well. Remember the scent is a perfume, so it's more concentrated than the oil.

I would not call the product greasy, per se, but it does not absorb immediately. So I would wait a minute or two before putting on any delicate clothing. I usually just sort of rub it in with my wrists.....and am ready to go.

No, they're not the same. Boyfriend is woodsy, smoky, and spicy. Billionaire Boyfriend is supposed to be a fresher, more citrusy scent (though I've never smelled it myself). BB is clear and comes in a clear bottle.
Boyfriend is golden and comes in a bottle with men's names on it.

Boyfriend is more musky and billionaire boyfriend is more flowery. I prefer Boyfriend!

It's probably just the difference between oil and a water soluble spray. I would think they would smell the same after the alcohol
dries from the spray. I hope so anyway since I plan on getting the spray.
