The GLO Device, when used with the GLO Brilliant(TM) Whitening Gels and GLO Brilliant(TM) Whitening Mouthpiece, uses the patented Guided Light Optics Technology and illuminates with a brilliant blue light as it gently warms up. The light and heat accelerate the GLO Brilliant(TM) Whitening Gel giving you faster, longer-lasting results. You're in control, your smile can get as white and as bright as can be. This set contains: - GLO Brilliant(TM) Whitening Mouthpiece and Case - GLO Brilliant(TM) Whitening Gels (G-Vials) 10pk Refill - GLO(TM) Control - GLO(TM) Charging Dock - USB Power Plug - GLO(TM) Lip Care - GLO(TM) Travel Bag What else you need to know:The key to GLO's innovation is the patent-pending GLO(TM) Whitening Mouthpiece which combines heat and light built directly into its closed system, form-fitting design. The GLO(TM) Control features an automatic, hands-free design, with pre-timed eight-minute session intervals for easy use. This device set includes 10 G-Vials, or 40 applications. Additional G-Vials can be purchased separately. The custom formulated GLO(TM) Whitening Gels feature a highly viscous, thixotropic whitening, 6% Hydrogen Peroxide gel that stays on teeth when applied with GLO's patent-pending G-Vial whitening gel delivery system. The GLO(TM) Whitening Gel goes on easily, stays put on your teeth, does not migrate onto the gums, and does not contain alcohol, which are leading causes of sensitivity. Each G-Vial contains enough whitening gel for 4 consecutive applications. To use the G-Vials, apply a thin layer over your teeth. After one full G-Vial application, you will get more familiar with the application process, making your next session even faster and easier.

Questions & Answers for GLO GLO Brilliant™ Personal Teeth Whitening Device

Question
How many times can I use the product before it runs out?
I'm just curious to how long it lasts. And would i have to buy a new set? For a product almost 300 dollars I'm afraid to purchase it, and then run out of it within a short period time.

The gel vials are what would need to be purchased consistently. They're $45. The original set comes with a pack of 10 gel vials as well. Each gel vial is good for 4 uses. You do four eight-minute treatments (for a total of 32 minutes) back-to-back, which ultimately uses one gel vial. When you begin your treatment, you do this 3-5 times for consecutive days for up to 10 days. After that you only need to do a total of four eight-minute treatments each month (either all at once, or once a week, et cetera). Depending on how many shades whiter you want your teeth to be and how well you maintain your treatments would determine how frequently you need to repurchase the gel vials. Hope this helped!

I have sensitive teeth and did not experience any pain or sensitivity with this like I did with traditional whitening bleach from the dentist. However, those were my personal results and everyone experiences different results. Try it and if it doesn't work for you, return it to Sephora within 30 days of receipt and they will give you a full refund.

Does this product work on teeth that are not naturally white?
My teeth are very healthy, but naturally slightly yellow and whitening products just don't work. Will this product work at all or am I stuck with my teeth forever?

Hello,

This will definitely work on teeth that are natural white. You will notice a difference in the first few applications.

It does. I do not think that it will make every person's teeth look like chicklets gum, but I think it will make them significantly lighter at an overall fraction of the cost of some products bought professionally. As I said previously, if it ends up disappointing, keep the receipt and bring in all the parts to your local Sephora, explaining what did not work. They truly believe in their products, as do I, and have a very helpful and supportive staff.

It is designed to whiten teeth as much as professionally whitening at a dentist. If that doesn't normally work, then no unfortunately. It will lighten venires up tO their original shade. But not lighter than when they were put in.

I'm not a dentist, so I can't say what is causing your teeth to look dingy or yellow - I am a redhead with pale skin, so no matter how much I whiten my teeth, they always look a little bit yellowish - it's just the way my teeth look against my skin and hair...I find that this product makes me teeth look clean, and they have a nice...shine, not sure if that's the right word, but glow to them - they'll never be movie star white, but they look healthy and clean and not dull.
Not sure if that's enough to justify $300+, but there you go.

No, I'm sorry but you can't.
Got mine in the mail yesterday, it says in the owners manual that the peroxide is harmful to children. I know ages 13-16 are permitted to use it, but only 2 times a day instead of the adult 4.

I would highly recommend getting a separate one, as they tend to form to your personal mouth shape and would make it awkward for the other user. Going back to you using it again, it might not fit you as well , either. It's a litlte pricey, but the person could use it indefinitely just as you will be able to!

If the discoloration occurred after the root canal, then your best bet is to have internal bleaching done. If your tooth is strong enough, you may not even need a crown, and if you have a crown placed and the discoloration is internal, you will still see the discoloration through the crown.

answer 2
This product only works on whitening the external enamel of your tooth. If your tooth is dead then any discoloration would be emanating from the inside of your tooth so this product won't help you. If you have some discoloration of your enamel then it will whiten that but won't fix internal decay problems.

The best thing to do for a dead tooth is have it removed and have a dental crown done on it to replace it. You want that thing out of your mouth. You'll want to whiten your teeth to the whitest shade you can get them and then have your crown done to match the color of your teeth. Then you will have to be diligent about keeping up on your teeth whitening regimen in order to prevent the rest of your teeth looking more yellow than your crown. A crown or veneers do not respond to whitening products because they are non porous.
If you have dental coverage, it should pay for a good portion of the crown you need. Good luck!

Question
How does the device get charged?
It says "USB Power Plug" but how does the device get charged? Is it like connecting the USB cord from a powered up computer to the device? I'd like to use it outside of the US, where the electric voltage and current are different from the US 120V 60Hz. If it isn't appropriate to charge it with 100V 50Hz electricity, I shouldn't buy the product. I'd like to make sure one way or the other before ordering. Thank you.

You just hook the part that looks like an ipod up to the device that looks like a USB charger and you can plug into a USB charger on a computer or into the wall mount device. Then you let it charge, simple as that! They give you options, which is nice. YOu never know where you will be when it is a convenient time to charge your GLO machine!

The USB fits into wall plug, and the device docks into the unit - kind of like an iPod. You can charge it with your computer or plug it into the wall - you
would need a wall plug adapter because the wall plug is for US sockets, but the current is such that you could use it in Europe, Middle East etc and it wouldn't fry the unit.

The process is only for 5 days, every 6 mo, so you wouldn't need to use it all day, every day.

To answer the question, it will charge in other countries using a USB connection to your computer or with a wall adapter to plug into the wall.

Hi - I can help with this one. The teeth wont dry out from the Glo system. The directions are to dry your teeth a bit before applying the whitening gel-it makes the application even better. As for the saliva-you can swallow while whitening for the 8 minutes. When the 8 mins are up you spit the excess saliva out. and just do that again 3 more times in a row. It makes sense that you build up saliva. :-) hope that helps you. :-)

It doesn't dry your teeth, before you use it you need to dry your teeth by wiping off any saliva (I use a tissue or paper towel). This enables the product to 'stick' to the white of your tooth better. I do get a bit of saliva action happening as well, but less if I dry my teeth before the first use.

If you purchased this at Sephora or at Sephora.com, yes, you can return it and get your money back in full. Even if you have used it and then decided you didn't like the product. Sephora stands by their products and if you are unhappy with them, you are absolutely able to return the product with a full refund.
