Questions & Answers for Too Faced The Bronzed & The Beautiful - French Riviera Edition

Question
Come with a brush?
Does this palette come with a bronzer brush? The brush I usually use is a short thick one that I think will be too much for this pigment (Guerlain Meteorites brush). But I don't want to ruin my blush brush with bronzer.

It does not come with a brush... I was needing a new brush anyway, so I bought Too Faced's Bronze-Buki brush for mine and it works great!

No, it doesn't come with a brush - I recommend keeping 2 countoured blush brushs for this kit - one for the matte brown, and one for the others.

I got mine in-store. You might call your nearest store before going though just to make sure it's in stock. (my store only had about three or four out) Nothing worse than being excited about getting it, driving there and finding out they're out of the product!

I tried checking in my store in New Jersey and it isn't available. They said as of right now it's only available to Beauty Insiders online, but will eventually be in store. They didn't reveal that launch date.

I use a countoured blusher brush with this kit - it's not a full-sized large poofy blusher... you need something that gives you more control, because you're targeting specific areas and want the color to stay where you put it. A kubuki brush would be too stiff - you want something with the softness of a powder brush, but smaller size, if possible. You could even press a fan brush into service in a pinch - that's the riht texture...it would just take you a lot longer to apply!

I use a regular size powder brush, not angled. Its about the same size as the circle of product. It works great, though you can use a bigger brush, so you can blend it better.

I just use one powder brush and dip the top in for the main colour that I'm using and then the edges for the other colours that I use. I already had a great brush for it but you can't buy it at Sephora. It starts with E and you'll find it at large department stores like the one you shoot things at.

No it isn't. I purchased this hoping it would be the same but it isn't. They currently have the one with the original snow bunny on the too faced website for a limited time which comes with the leopard bronzer which is just as beautiful. I highly recommend that palette.

I have fair skin and this set works fine for me. The Chocolate Soleit (so?) is much lighter on than it looks in the box. The bronzers are very buildable; you just start with a little and add a bit more and a bit more, until you get the look you want.

One tip: make sure you always tap off your brush before applying to the face. Otherwise, it will be hideously dark. But of course, that's something you're really supposed to do any time you apply powder makeup with a brush.

I would say yes, it's all about using the right amount. If your not sure then lightly dab your brush and go from there. The best thing to do is experiment, but this is honestly one of these best products I've ever bought! I use it for any occasion.

Yes. I have very fair skin with red-ish undertones and not only does it minimize the redness but it brings my fair skin to life. I know the colors look dark in the kit but when you use them that are not as dark as they seem. Gives a nice innocent glow!

Definitely oil-free makeup that isn't going to come off with sweat. I like Make Up For Ever's Oil-free foundation. Stay away from Nars sheer glow. You may like Lancome Teint Idole Freshwear 18 hour wear which is great for summer weather. It has light coverage and is comfortable to wear. I'm hooked on Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation for four seasons. If they have an AAFES on base, usually there is a makeup counter where you can try most of these out. If you don't like it, return it!

So proud of the work you do!
But you gotta stay pretty even in the desert- I would use lot of matte powder product- in this set only chocolate soleil would work I think. The others are too shimmery and might make your skin look oily or shiny. The chocolate one if you order separately would work well. Also overall, use matte products, that means no gloss, shimmer, shine products. Hope that helps. Stay safe and wish you luck!

I am NC40 and the matte bronzer shade, chocolate soleil, barely shows up on me. It's not that pigmented. Even with me digging my makeup brush in the pan, I barely get any product. BUT the sun bunny duo has a velvet texture and is very pigmented, so I'm sure it will show up on medium/olive/deep skin tones!

No brush or applicator. But honestly, I didn't take issue with that. Here's why: I don't think it would be possible to use one or two brushes or applicators and not end up mixing colors...and the whole point of contouring your face would be lost if there was highlighter in your brush when you tried to apply bronzer with it- and vice versa.

No, there isn't. I used a powder brush and rotated it on the edges to use the different bronzers. Someone else mentioned that you need loads of brushes, but I don't think that you do.

I had heard that some of the shades in this palette where not pigmented enough. But I have medium to dark complexion and I do see the effects of this bronzing palette. It would be a matter of trying it, but since it's only available online, I'd say go ahead and purchase and return it if it doesn't work for you. I strongly recommend it because colors are natural, shimmery without being 'too much' and smell delicious!
