Matte finish but with a hint of shimmer. I like a matte finish myself so it was between this one or the Smashbox Bronze Lights in Suntan Matte. I picked the Shiseido at the end because the container is nicer (easier to open and close) than the Smashbox.

It has a slight shimmer to it, but definitely not as much as a lot of other bronzers I've used.

Not matte but not glittery...more like a soft natural shimmer. Apply a light layer and it will still look natural.

looks matte on..only a hint of shimmer! really nice! Tarte's Park Ave. Mineral Matte Bronzer is100% matte and nice too! same shade as this in my opinion, but not as lovely as this - the hint of shimmer is rather nice and i'm 54! I have that one both bronzers

I spoked to a representative at Nordstrom who called their employee at the Shiseido counter and told me that it is in fact a matte finish. However, I read on someone's blog that on the face of the compact, you see very very small flecks of gold shimmer. So I'm not sure if its matte or shimmer. You can call one of the major department stores like Macy's, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, etc and speak with the sales representative at the Shiseido counter to ask them.

This bronzer is non-comedogenic, it's perfect for sensitive skin, I know because I have one :) The list of ingredients you can find on Shiseido's website.
