I have oily skin prone to acne and I have both the original Exfolikate and the Exfolikate acne. Personally, I find the original to do a much better job at exfoliating. The acne formula has salicylic acid and tea tree oil which gives a nich "ahhhhh" feeling but that's about it. I don't find it has any effect on my breakouts one way or the other and my skin looks better the next day after I've used the original.

ExfoliKate Acne is different from ExfoliKate Intensive in many ways - the formula itself is bluish from the Amazonian Clay ingredients and has a definitive Tea Tree scent from the Tea Tree Oil ingredient. The scrubbing beads are more gentle than the intensive version, and upon application it feels cool as opposed to the warming sensation you get with ExfoliKate Intensive. It is a more gentle formula designed to calm and soothe blemish prone skin, so if you have active acne, it will be perfect for you!

I got a sample of the ExfoliKate Acne and I already had some of the regular ExfoliKate. I used one on one side of my face and the other on the other side for about 3 weeks and I could not tell the difference in exfoliation. I think they're the same.

The original Exfolikate was too coarse for my skin. This is milder - with softer exfoliating beads. It doesn't dry my skin or cause irritation.

This version sucks in comparison. The original version is much better, although way overpriced.

In the acne formula it seems like there are less exfoliating beads, but there is also salicylic acid which lifts dead skin. I have used both, but if you have acne, I would recomend this simply because it won't break the skin causing acne bacteria to spread across the skin.

I would describe it as an intense tingle, and some might say that it does burn slightly. But as soon as you wash it off, the tingle is gone and worth the wait in my opinion.

I also felt burning. According to the other answers this isn't suppose to happen. I think the intense burning might be from the product getting into broken or irritated skin.

It definitely should not burn. It feels a bit cool on the face, like something minty, but I've never had it burn even scrubbing the heck out of my skin with it. You probably ought to stop using it.

oh wow...burning is not a good feeling,,,i have sensitive skin and with the ExfoliKate i felt a tingling,,not burning,,,if u purchased and this happened to u,,, definitely return the item,,,Sephora is pretty good on returns,,,,,

I would definitely recommend the EradiKate. It is a great spot treatment that has really helped to clear up my skin. I was really disapointed in the Exfolikate Acne Treatment. It didn't exfoliate that well and it didn't do anything to help clear up my skin. It isn't worth the money.

EradiKate is designed to be a spot treatment and the active ingredient is sulfur. We always recommend exfoliating and this product is designed for those with blemish prone skin to exfoliate, clear and soothe skin. Both products work completely differently and for different purposes. You can however use our Clearing Mask as a spot treatment instead of EradiKate.

I think the ExfoliKate Acne helps to prevent breakouts from happening in the first place and EradiKate is for treating pimples that you might have. BUT you can also put a little mask of EradiKate onto blemish-prone areas before you go to bed and that is effective for preventing as well, and of course it's less expensive.

Eradikate is an awesome spot treatment, but it's just that a spot treatment once the pimples have already come out. Exfolikate acne is more so a preventative measure. It helps make sure that acne doesn't pop up and helps out with scars too.

I've tried both, to Me the Eradikate is worthless. This one used as a spot teatment works better than anyting I've ever tried, even the Tanda.

It's expensive but if I use it as a spot treatment it really, really works. The Eradikate is very hard on the skin, the ingredient that works in it is sulfur. You can get sulfer cheaper.
There is no comparison in my eyes.

I have dry skin that breaks out as well. I have used accutane in 2012 and since that dries out your skin a lot I am always on the look out for great products that banish blemishes but don't dry or irritate my skin. The Exfolikate for Acne prone skin has done that for me; its not too drying but does get rid of blemishes very quickly. If you are worried patch test it first (you can do that in store as well) and start by using it once a week. I found that I could even use it more than the recommended 1-2 a week!

If you feel ExfoliKate Intensive was drying your skin, you may have left it on for too long, or it could be too intensive for your skin. ExfoliKate Acne is definitely more gentle - the scrubbing beads and formula are less intensive because it is meant to soothe and calm blemish prone skin. Ask for a sample next time you are in store to see how you like it!

Yes, I think you'll find this one to be in-between. If you're going into Sephora, see if you can get a sample before buying though, since you've been sensitive.

I find my skin to be soft and glowy with this exfoliator. I also tend to get dry with acne cleansers and break out regularly and haven't had problems with this product, although I would reccomend an oil free moisturizer afterwards. I showed it to my boyfriends sister who is an aesthetician (skin care specialist) and she said she liked it and it seemed like it had a creamier base for adding moisture back to your skin.

I have both the original Exfolikate and the Exfolikate Acne and I alternate the two. I'll use one then skip two nights and use the other and I always continue on that pattern. Ocassionally I'll substitue with a clay mask instead. I keep a calendar and ink pen in my bathroom cabinet and keep track of my product usage on it so I don't forget what I use on which day. That prevents overusage of products. Personally I find the original to be the better product (although more expensive) and don't plan to repurchase the Exfolikate Acne once I've used up my tube. For greater acne benefits, you should try a product you leave on overnight with salacylic acid in it.

Yes, you can alternate or use depending on preference. If you are experiencing a lot of active acne, use ExfoliKate Acne and when your skin is more clear, use ExfoliKate Intensive.

Use it AFTER you wash your face with your Clarisonic or else it might be too harsh on your skin.
