It very well could be, but I would try the BB shampoo that is specifcally for curly hair. I have used it also, and it works wonders on my hair, helping to enhance the curls on the side of my head, which are not as wavy/curly as the hair on the back of my head....if that makes sense.

I have very coarse, wavy hair, and I love this stuff. I use the creme de cocoa conditioner and it really helps to tame my often unruly hair. Hope this helps!

I don't have curly hair but mine is a little wavy sometimes but honestly this shampoo makes your hair feel less weighed down and bouncy. I never do my hair with this shampoo and I totally recommend trying it.

I have waivy hair that curls at the ends. I use this shampoo with a moisturizer conditioner. I think it would leave my hair too dry at the ends w/out it.

The shampoo works great for my son who has curly hair. It helps get all of the pool chemical residue out. He has to use a moisturizing conditioner with it not the BB seaweed one. May not be so great for thick hair because there is not a lot of foaming.

Mine has natural wave but isn't overly curly and this shampoo has been great. I also use the Sumo Wax to tame any unwanted flyaways and get the beachy look for summer.

Question
Safe for color treated hair?
I have color-treated hair (lightened), no grays to cover. I have an oily scalp, but I don't want to jeopardize my expensive color job! Any insight is appreciated!

This product says it's safe for color treated hair, and I have been using it awhile with good results - my color seems to be the same - and it isn't so heavy like some other "color safe" shampoo...

I could not recommend for color/high lighted hair because I found it drying, if you shampoo daily, i really like the SHINE shampoo and conditioner better
