It very well could be, but I would try the BB shampoo that is specifcally for curly hair. I have used it also, and it works wonders on my hair, helping to enhance the curls on the side of my head, which are not as wavy/curly as the hair on the back of my head....if that makes sense.

I have very coarse, wavy hair, and I love this stuff. I use the creme de cocoa conditioner and it really helps to tame my often unruly hair. Hope this helps!

I don't have curly hair but mine is a little wavy sometimes but honestly this shampoo makes your hair feel less weighed down and bouncy. I never do my hair with this shampoo and I totally recommend trying it.

I have waivy hair that curls at the ends. I use this shampoo with a moisturizer conditioner. I think it would leave my hair too dry at the ends w/out it.

The shampoo works great for my son who has curly hair. It helps get all of the pool chemical residue out. He has to use a moisturizing conditioner with it not the BB seaweed one. May not be so great for thick hair because there is not a lot of foaming.

Mine has natural wave but isn't overly curly and this shampoo has been great. I also use the Sumo Wax to tame any unwanted flyaways and get the beachy look for summer.

Question
Safe for color treated hair?
I have color-treated hair (lightened), no grays to cover. I have an oily scalp, but I don't want to jeopardize my expensive color job! Any insight is appreciated!

This product says it's safe for color treated hair, and I have been using it awhile with good results - my color seems to be the same - and it isn't so heavy like some other "color safe" shampoo...

I could not recommend for color/high lighted hair because I found it drying, if you shampoo daily, i really like the SHINE shampoo and conditioner better

Sulfate-free?
Do the b&b Seaweed shampoo & conditioner contain sulfates?

Yes, it does contain sulfates, which is primarily what makes any shampoo lather-y. Another answerer here said the B&B reps say this is safe for color-treated hair, but I totally disagree. I do like this shampoo, but if you're looking for a color-protecting shampoo, choose something else. This WILL strip color, period.

Yes it does. It contains sodium lauryl sulfate. It also contains citric acid and sulfate chloride.

Yes. Currently all Bumble and Bumble shampoos contain sulfates besides their Color Minded line. However, I have been told by representatives that all of their shampoos are considered color safe besides the Sunday shampoo.

The shampoo is soy free. It contains mostly what it says; aqueous algae, sea salt, seaweed, and sea kelp :)
