I have both and I prefer grooming creme because it helps the hair be soft and smooth and I use it on damp hair. I used to use brilliiantine in dry hair to give it a slightly messy piecey look, but it was heavier and weighed my hair down. I think grooming creme is for damp hair and brilliiantine is for dry hair.

I use the leave-in conditioner first, the the grooming cream and usually partially dry with a difuser. I found it's best on damp, not really wet hair, but not too dry either. I usually put on my makeup while my hair is wrapped in a towel. When I'm ready to style, if my end are a little too dry, I spritz with a little water,. Once my hair is styled, I use another dollop of cream to tame any unruly tresses, and help hold the curl/wave. This was how I was shown to use the products during a Bumble and bumble event at Sephora.

I think this product is great for anyone. It won't make your hair all flowly, but it will give it some body. It will also keep it very soft, while maintaining the style; however, it you want your hair to hold like it would with hair spray, gel, etc, I would recommend the Bumble & bumble styling spray.
