Urban Decay Lush Lash System

What it is:A two-step lash fortifying system for creating 25% longer, thicker lashes in just two weeks. What it does:In combination, these two products create longer, thicker lashes that resist loss and breakage. The clear gel-like serum accelerates the growth of your lashes with peptides. Use the tiny brush to apply it at your lash line. It penetrates at the root and stimulates keratin to lengthen, thicken, and fortify your lashes. The conditioning mask applies with a wand and loads your lashes with growth peptides and high potency ingredients like Panthenol and Vitamin E. Research results:Clients showed 25% longer and thicker lashes in two weeks, 40% in four weeks, and 63% in six weeks.

I would use it only at night - since during the day you are probably wearing mascara? and eyeliner? I've been using it every night and my lashes are already thicker and stronger.

You want to use this at night before going to bed. I just added it to my evening cleasing routine. First use the serum like a liner and get it as close to your lash line as possible, and then use the conditioning mask right on top like mascara! This stuff is amazing, I've seen thicker longer lashes in just 2 weeks!

i'd guess a bit before bed (give it time to dry) but i'm not sure.. Any time that I've contacted their customer service, they reply really quickly! So if I were you, I'd just call their cust service or shoot them an email.

Question
Bottom lashes?
Would this be safe to use on the bottom lash line? Not the waterline but just under them... I have a few spots where most of my lashes are small or gone and it looks a little odd to have gaps in my mascara...

I've used it for my bottom lashes and it does the same to the top lashes. Just be careful not to get it on your waterline. :)

I don't, personally. But I generally sleep on my stomach, so a lot of it probably gets rubbed off in my sleep.

answer 3
Yes, you should definitely wash it off in the morning because it might leave a bit of a mess. Just gently use some eye makeup remover or face wash in rinsing it off. You can also use an eyelash comb to remove any lingering residue.

Question
What happens after 6-8 weeks? Do you have to keep using it in order to maintain lash length and thickness?
I would imagine eyelash length and thickness reaches a certain plateau. I'm just wondering, if I want to maintain long & thick lashes after the 6-8 weeks are up, will I essentially need to use this product every day for the rest of my life?

Eyelashes only last 6-8 weeks; meaning every 6-8 weeks your lashes fall off & new ones grow (sporadically of course). Think of it like the hair on your head. If you stop taking hair growth vitamins, of deep conditioning masks, your hair goes back to it's "norm". I've heard to use lash enhancers for 2 months, take a 2 month break & then use it again for 2 months.

depends on the situation, if you lose eyelashes easily and wear heavy make up it would be ideal to continue use, but if you use this product and each your goals then leaving the product will be fine, because you can always come back to it.

Question
Might this change my eye color the way Latisse can?

answer 1
The active ingredient in Latisse is bimatoprost and it is a non-organic chemical [synthetic, man made]. This is the chemical that changes the eye color. As all of the lash growth serums that Sephora sells does not require a prescription, they do not have bimatoprost as their active, key, hero ingredient. Instead, they use organic chemicals that naturally stimulate pre-existing hair follicles. You get almost similar results as Latisse without the risky side effects.

Question
Does it smudge?
I have severe dry eyes and I am always blinking. I try not to use eye drops excessively, but I need a product that is waterproof and doesn't smudge. Also because of my eye condition I am looking for something that will help fortify my lashes.

Technically you use this while you sleep, so you dont need to worry about excessive blinking. I dont believe this product should be part of your make up routine, at least I dont think it is designed for this purpose. If you are looking for a mascara, my favorite is "They Are Real!"(from Benefit Cosmetics) but I believe this is not waterproof. :-(

It will definitely fortify eye lashes. It works great. I've never had a problem with it affecting my eyes in terms of making them dry or anything. You just apply it carefully the same as mascara on your lashes and let it dry it shouldn't smudge or get in your eyes at all.

If you let it dry before you go to bed at night, you should be alright. I've had a bit get into my eyes and they water, but it doesn't burn painfully or anything. just a mild sting.

sorry, i answered the wrong question lol
But yes while you are using this system at night you can still use make up in the day. Just make sure before you apply this serum that you wash off all the eye makeup.
I use it every night. I wash it off when I wake up and apply my mascara and eyeliner. I'm still seeing results from it.

Lush Lash is to be used before bed, so assuming you don't sleep with makeup on... you're all good! Just wash off your makeup like normal before you put it on.

Question
Has anyone noticed more straight lashes?
I have been using this for a month now. I love the lenght, as well as, the extra lashes that seem to pop up everwhere. HOWEVER, I have been noticing that about 1/4 or so of the new lashes are growing in stick-straight!!! They have to be tweezed in order not to be in my sight or stab my lower lashes. Has anyone else had this problem? Should I try another product? I have very sensitive eyes, and this stuff doesn't bother them. Any advice?!

Actually, I have noticed quite the opposite. My lashes curl nicely by themselves now that they are longer. I did notice a couple lashes like you described, but I didn't tweeze them, and they just grew long and curled like they are supposed to, given about a weeks' time. So plucking them, they'll curl as they get longer! ;-)

I actually haven't had that problem too much. There have been a few straight ones here and there but nothing that bothersome. Do you use an eyelash curler? I use one on a regular basis and I think it helps to keep those eyelashes curled and going in the direction that they need to go.
