It's not oil free but it is not at all greasy either. I have very oily skin and I really like this!

Living in Hawaii with oily skin I am looking for the perfect moisturizer. This one felt great and the coverage was sheer and natural looking. It did not make my face look oily but 1 week later I had lots of acne all along my face. I really wanted this product to work but I tried again and it caused me more breakouts.

I have extremely oily/sensitive skin and this product works beautifully. It doesn't create an oily feel...just light and smooth. Also, it doesn't clog pores - I haven't broken out once since I used it. I am a HUGE fan of this product and would definitely recommend giving it a shot. It is so worth the money!

This is a lot different than foundation! It sounds like just the thing you're looking for. Be sure to check out what other brands have to offer as well, and read through all the reviews as to make the best choice.
This stuff is not cakey or too over-powering. It might be a bit oily depending on your skin type but it is sheer, evens out skin tone and redness without being heavy like foundation. I myself, having dry skin and redness, and a big fan of tinted moisturizer when I do not have the time or ideal weather for a full face of make up.

This does not feel like your wearing makeup. I use this to even my skin tone, and it does a pretty good job at covering my ance scars.

I love this product for that very reason - it doesn't feel like I'm wearing foundation. I've never worn foundation, but decided it was time for me to use a product that gave me some kind of coverage. It is sheer, though. It helps w/my sun damage spots, but doesn't necessarily hide them altogether.

IMO its doesn't feel as if you're wearing makeup. However, I would use caution with this product if you've had or do have acne issues. It aggravated my acne (had cystic acne within days of wearing the product) but the color blends nicely and its feels good on the skin

I would definitely go to the store and sample. I have what would be classified by most people as olive skin with pink undertones. I ended up with "light". I would have never guessed that.

In general, i wanted so much to like this product, but i found it too terrible for words and actually returned it. I never return cosmetics but it was just so awful that i couldn't even add it to the proverbial "just in case" bucket under the sink.

This smells nothing like Hope In A Jar Moisturizer. It barely has any scent at all. I can smell a little sunscreen upon application, but that can't be avoided, since this contains sunscreen. I can smell Hope In A Jar Original on my face till I wash it off, but I never even smell Hope In a Tinted. Even though they are both "Hope" products, the "Tinted" moisturizer is completely different from the Hope Originals, SPFs, etc. The texture is similar to that of a sheer foundation, and when it sets it doesn't budge. (It's not great for layering). It doesn't rub off on everything like most other tinted moisturizers, and it actually seems to control oil breakthrough. I find this is best used alone. Occasionally I've applied The Present before or after this tinted moisturizer, but I get a more natural-looking color and finish when it's used all by itself.

I have the hope in a jar (original) and I believe that this Tinted Moisturizer does NOT smell similar to it at all. It has a very light smell that reminds me of sun-tan lotion. I hope this helps!

It's SPF 20, with octinoxate (7.5%), and oxybenzone (3.5%). Octinoxate, also known as octyl methoxycinnamate, is a UVB blocker. Oxybenzone absorbs short wave UVA-2 radiation.

If you're going to spend a lot of time outdoors you'd want to wear this over Hope In A Jar SPF 30 or Here Comes the Sun SPF 40 so you get protection from long UVA radiation as well.

I agree - just use it as a moisturizer by itself and you should no problems what so ever. I have oily skin and have no problem at all with caking and flaking.

I had the same experience, it has splotchy coverage and settles into pores. A primer underneath helps, but you shouldn't need that with a tinted moisturizer. This was a disappointment.

I actually use this instead of the HIAJ + the Present which I used to use together. I'm not familiar with the poreless product you spoke of, but I am pleased with the tinted moisturizer so much so that I use it as foundation/moisturizer, and only use blush and eye makeup for a finished look. LOVE the product. Give it a try.
