The click-pen version contained 1.5 ounces while the new one has double that........yay! Plus, this new packaging doesn't waste any of the product like the old version did. Much improved and I'm so very happy for that!!

I went ahead and bought it. It seems to be a slightly thinner consistency and doesn't work quite as well as the old formula. It goes on smoother, but then doesn't prevent unwanted smudges as much.

Question
applicator tip or needle nose tip?
i liked the old packaging with the easy applicator. Does this one have an applicator to smooth over your eye easily too or just a needle nose tip like a neosporin tube? Thanks!

I use my fingers, because I can feel it absorb into my skin. But it doesnt come with an applicator or a needle nose tip. If you perfer, use a brush! Hope this helps! :)

I liked the old packaging also, but this one is OK. No needle nose tip but a slanted tip like on a blistex tube. I use my finger - it's easier.

This has an angled, needle-nose tip. It is simple to put a very small amount on your fingertip and smooth it on your eyelid.

it has a slanted blunt top kinda like lipstick. I use my ring finger to apply evenly and rub lightly.

It has a large plastic tip. It is not pointy like a neosporin applicator; it has a flat, oval surface that is about half the size of a dime.

It has a slant tip, very easy to use for fingertip application, which keeps the tube uncontaminated.

answer 7
It's a needle nose applicator like Neosporin. I like it better than the old backaging though because you don't waste any in that spongy material. Also, I think its easier to apply consistently with your finger.

It feels the same to me as the old click pen packaging. The biggest difference is how you apply it because it doesn't have the spongey material that you can just apply straight to your eye. I end up using my fingers to apply it now. I'm still getting used to that and as a result end up using more than I need.

It is the same, but without the sponge applicator, which I think is preferable...just squeeze out what you need and apply with your fingertip

Yes, this is the same product as the click pen. Bare Escentuals has repacked all of their new primers and added the addition of two new formulas, Brightening and Brightening Pearl. Try them out.

I have drooping lids (seem to disappear with age!) so my trouble was not only keeping shadow intact but my eyeliner. This primer keeps my lids looking good.

Yes! I have super oily eyelids and I have a hooded eye. Without this primer, I get those black half moons on my eyelid within an hour or two. This primer locks my eyeliner and shadow in place for a good 10 hours. I love it, have been using it for years. Works way better for me than the UD one. A little bit goes a long way, so even though the tube looks small, it will last you 6-9 months easily.

I am your age and have oily skin to boot. So far no issues with migrating liner or shadow over this product. I like mineral shadows and use either the MUFE smokey eye liner or a liquid liner from Josie Maran. They all seem to stay in place very well. I do need a good amount of my creamy cleanser to (gently) remove all of this... and a warm, wet washcloth.

Unfortunantelly, no. I have noticed that at the end of my school day, my eyeliner will appear on my crease and brow bone. Its a good primer, but not the best. Definentially look for something else if you want your eyeliner and eye shadow to stay in place. Hope this helps! :)

i found it didnt work on eyeline. I tried another brand, it looks like a potion wand bottle (it is purple, they sell it here, can't remember the name) and it worked better and kept my eyeliner on better than without it. However, it still moved a bit. I read the josie and the more expensive ones work better, just haven't tried them yet.

Question
Best eye cream to use this with?
I use the Bare Minerals eye cream every day, but have tried using the primer on top every day and it has resulted in the drying out of my eyelids (they become scaly and the skin starts to peel). I have oily/combination skin and Asian eyes and have problems with creasing/eye makeup smudging. If I only use the primer once in awhile, I really like the results. But I would love to be able to use this every day. Can this not be used every day? If there is an eye cream that pairs best with this primer what do you suggest?

I have similar skin type. I use the Perfekt eye perfection gel in the a.m. under this primer (and all around my under eye too), then I use a much richer eye cream at night to be sure I'm getting plenty of moisturizing and anti-ageing!

Dfinentially look for an eye cream with mousturizing power. This primer is oil free, which may not be what you are looking for if this made your eyes scaly. This isnt the best primer in the world, so I would recommend keep looking. Hope this helps! :)

Make sure that you are getting it all off before applying more. It sounds like you might not be and you are getting a build up. If I dont rub it in all the way, it gets cakey.

yes, these are two different products. The first is basically a lotion cream with extra vitamins for the skin around your eyes. I don't believe it's meant for your actual eyelids, rather the eye bone below your eyes, but you should ask someone who works for bare escentuals. I would use this every day under your overall makeup. This product (eyelid primer) is for use under your eyeshadow. It helps set your eye makeup and works perfectly.

Yes. The bareVitamins Eye Rev-er can leave eyelids too moist for eyeshadow so even cream eyeshadows run and crease.

I have really oily eyelids and everything I used always creased, but this does not. I'm a writer and do a lot of public appearances, so having my eye makeup last the day is important, and this is the ONLY product I've found that enables it to do that.

I also have pretty oily eyelids, i almost never wear eyeshadow because of it. but when i do, i use this product and it makes a huge difference! Instead of most of the eyeshadow ending up in the crease by lunchtime, I can go a full work day with only minimal creasing by the time i get home. Hope this helps!

Yes, this does control the oil on my lids, it does not look or feel super matte, however. I recommend the Urban Decay eye primer if you want a matte look. This one just looks natural, like you are wearing nothing, but your lids are not oily!
