This product puts a smooth finish onto the skin. I find that my foundation does stay on longer. Plus, the fact that I'm older and have some wrinkles, this product allows the foundation and powder to adhere to but not cake into those wrinkles. It is one of my "must-haves"!

I think it really does help the foundation appear better. No so much that it lasts longer (I have never had a problem with it lasting all day and evening), but it definitely appears less powdery and keeps it from settling in those fine lines.

Yes to all your questions...it helps the bare minerals go on much more evenly and the make-up last all day! You'll love how it feels and how it looks!

The regular Prime Time Foundation Primer does a wonderful job of allowing the foundation powder to apply smoothly. It has a rich, smooth feel that I love! I just bought the "brightening" primer a couple weeks ago and don't recommend it. I actually prefer the regular foundation primer.

I have only tried the brightening primer and it dose clump. I have very oily skin and for me it makes the powder foundation slide around on my face by the end of the day. I hope the regular formula is better. That said, I really like the eye primer and use it everyday.

my foundation does stay in place lounger and it dosent fell heavy. & yes with primer your foundation goes on and looks smoother plus with primer your foundation stick to it and not to your skin. so it dosent melt off and helps control oil.

yes it definitely helps your makeup to last longer, it kind of has a silicone feel so it makes your skin feel super soft and smooth. I have noticed my skin doesnt look as dry or patchy.

It's been so long since I bought my original set, I don't remember what product was in a tube. This is the 3rd step of what I put on. I use the Rev-er Upper, followed by a moisturizer, and then the Foundation Primer. It isn't a spray. It's a pump dispenser and the product comes out like a clear gel; going on your face really smoothly. It's my favorite part of the BE makeup. I just bought the "brightening" Foundation Primer a few weeks ago and I don't like it as much as the original Prime Time Foundation Primer.

This has a peachy color. The original primer does not. The original primer is what usually comes in a .5 oz tube with sets and it does make make up last longer. The full size of both the original and the brightening is in a pump.

It's not a spray - it's a pump. However, I find twisting the top off to scoop out primer works best since the product separates easily.

I don't know what kind of primer was in sephora's set, but this one is the brightening one- has a nice shimering peachy color and it is not a spay- just nicer aplicator container!

I believe that the small tube is for eyes and the bottle is face. However I have yet to get the product to go through the intended hole.

This is definitely not a spray, it is that same stuff that came in the sampole tube, but for some reason, in the bottle, the liquids separate and because the bottle is hard plastic, it;s impossible to get the consistency right. Kepp getting samples until they fix the formula!

This is probably different than the sample you received...those are usually the original formulation (more of a gel consistency). The picture looks like a spray but it's actually a pump. I like the Brightening one more than the original formula.

It has color, but if you're fair like me- its way too dark. It isn't a spray, though- the full-sized bottle has a tiny pump.

I visited a BE store today to do a test run, I believe this is what she used on me. It does have a color (generic flesh tone) but after application I couldn't see that it added anything at all; it's very, very sheer. It's not a spray, it is a gel/liquid and is quickly absorbed by the skin.

slightly, but not quite. the product that came with the get started kit is the prime time with the black cap on the top and is slightly different from this product seeing as this product is formulated specifically to brighten your complexion. the product is clear and is not a spray. the product has a pump bottle and should pump out product with the same texture and consistency as the one that came in your get started kit.

According to the FAQ on Bare Escentuals website they do not test on animals or use any company for ingredients which tests on animals. For their natural brushes they use pony and goat hair (no animals are harmed to create the brushes) but also offer a line of synthetic brushes.

Love the product, however it is too hard to get out of the container. There was still oodles left but it would not pump out. It separated as well. I liked it, but would like to see a different container, perhaps a squeeze bottle?

Here is a really, really on this question. IF a cosmetic company says they do not do animal testing then they outsource to have it done or only use borrowed technology. FDA mandates that any product that is used on or ingested buy humans MUST be tested on animals for safety concerns for humans. If you oppose Animal Testing - contact the FDA - there is a HUGE beauty & grooming company that has created new techonology to share for free with others. Europe is eons ahead of the US in cruetly free methods in testing.

Makeup primers are applied after the moisturizer is applied. You want your moisturizer to have direct contact with your skin in order to absorb and have the most benefit.

I put it on after my moisturizer. I let it dry before I start buffing on my BE powder foundation. I have a little trick, since I have oily skin. I buff on a little mineral veil, just what's ever left on the brush from the day before, before i apply my foundation. I helps with the days oil build up.

Id say- use the primer instead of a moisturizer and prior to powder founation. Ive evn used it alone and I was pleased with the way it made my skin look.It does make skin look 'dewy' , maybe a bit too wet, so powder over it may be best for some faces.
