Questions & Answers for Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush

Question
Suggestions, please - Olive medium skin, dark brown hair with caramel ombre...
Wondering if anyone can suggest a shade for me. I have medium skin with olive undertones, brown eyes, and dark brown hair with caramel ombre around my face. Lots of detail, I know, but I'd appreciate any suggestions!

I'm middle eastern with medium-olive skin (very clear gold-yellow undertones) and this blush looks amazing. This makes your cheeks look very dollish and not quite naturally bronzed though. It depends on what look you're going for.

i think a coral color will look nice on you. based on your description, that is just my opinion, something like tipsy but if your really umm tanned skin you might have to put more layers of powder. have fun and good luck :)

Your skin tone sounds like mine. If you're not afraid of an obvious punch of color you'll love blissful by tarte. I can go with only this blush and some lip gloss for an every day look. For a made up look, so pretty. :)

I would suggest Exposed. Although it looks quite nude online and even in the pan, itself, I will say that it when applied to the skin, there is quite a bit more color than expected.

I have dark brown hair, brown eyes, and light/medium skin with an olive undertone and this blush is absolutely amazing. Natural looking. Very pigmented. Long wearing. Great for fall/winter.

If you like a natural look- Exposed or Blissful.
If you like a brighter pop of color: Amused (bright pink), Natural Beauty (Strawberrry Juice red), or tipsy (Bright Coral)

If you want to warm up your skintone then Dollface (soft pink) or Blissful (warm Peach) or Tipsy (very bright coral little goes a long way!) If you want to cool down your skintone then Flush (deep berry a little goes a very long way) or Blushing Bride (shimmer alert! plumy rose) All are long wearing colors and highly pigmented. So take a look at these and see what you think! =o)

I wear tarte agent 00, pink undertones and pale. Dark auburn hair with green eyes. I love dollface and glisten. Those have been my top two colors. You can only get glisten in a kit as of now. Both q and sephora have a kit with glisten. It is a peachy pink (in the middle) that I think is universally flattering.

I'm not an expert, but I have a similar complexion. I use the 'Blissful' it's not too pinky, but more of a natural, healthy flush color. I absolutely love it and think it looks great especially on darker tones. Hope this helps!

Dollface for medium skintone?
Do you think Dollface would be too light for medium skin tone? I would like to try something in pink but I'm not sure if that would compliment my skin. I'm debating about getting the Dollface or Dandelion from Benefits. I would appreciate your opinion(s). Thanks! :)

It depends what color you get. I think the ones that have been released open stock are all matte. I am thinking they will release shimmer shades soon as a similar but different product. The ones in kits have mostly been shimmer shades.

There is a teeny tiny bit of dimension, so they don't read as dead/chalky/flat, but in NO WAY is it "shimmery" or "glittery".
These give your skin a kind of lit-from-within glow, and it is AWESOME.
It really doesn't look like obvious blush- more like your skin just happens to naturally be the color of the blush. So cool.

Hi!
I have sampled all of these colors and find that the dollface and the blissful give the most natural, healthy color. The dollface is more a cool pink shade and the blissful has some warmer coral tones. Amused is also a very nice shade of pink. It can look very pretty and natural when applied with a light hand. Hope this helps!

Question
What color would be best for fair skin?
I just bought this in 'amused' and it's way too bright for my fair skin, I plan on returning it and getting either blushing bride or blissful but I'm not sure which to pick.. Is blushing bride too purple-ish if I want a natural flush?

If Amused was too bright, you could try Blushing Bride with the lightest hand- BB is darker than Amused. I'm talking dab your brush once in the product, tap on a clean tissue, and lightly sweep. It's a fairly dark plum with gold sparkle/shimmer. Blissful and Dollface are the two lighter colors in the permanent range, and will definitely look more natural on your fair skin.

It depends on your hair color. I love blushing bride on red heads. Also great for medium to deep skin tones. Love natural beauty on red heads. Love dollface on fair skin. Dollface and glisten (in a kit), are my fair faves. I wear Agent00 in tarte amazonian clay tinted moisturizer. I wear fair in be. The lightest shade of muf hd foundation for reference. If you are warm, I like tipsy too.

If you want more of a natural flush, I would go with Natural Beauty. I have light-to-medium skin and this is the most natural looking on me. The more bubble gum pink ones might work if you're skilled with blush, but it's hard to pull those off even on fair skin.

Radiant & Rested: Volume II Universal Complexion & Color Collection has the color "Glisten" which is the Orgasm dupe. In the regular range, I think you'd be looking at Blissful (soft peach) mixed with a tad of Dollface (pale pink), but that would lack the gold lustre that orgasm has.

You may get several answers on this one. Glisten is the closest, but it is only available in kits. Do not go by the lip surgence color. The blush and lip surgence go nicely together, but the lip is more peach. The glisten blush is peachy pink. I like the kit sephora has because yo get a nice color lip surgence in sweet and glisten blush and sweet go better together.

Question
Refillable case?
So tarte is a natural cosmetic company that care about the environment right? Well I was playing around with my compact and noticed a little hole on the bottom where you can see the tin. If you push on that with something long and thin (be very careful you son't want it to fall and break up your blush) the tin pops out and is held in place with a magnet! I'm just wondering if anyone knows if this will be refillable, or if it's recyclable? I'd prefer it 'cause I'd hate to throw the compact away if I can just buy the blush.

I know. I dropped mine and noticed the same thing. I have yet to see blush refills, but would love to. However, tarte does have pressed powder refills that I believe would fit into the copact. I have not tried tarte pressed powder, but it is worth a try to not waste the cute compact.
