yes it will definitely mess up your makeup! i thought the same thing.. that it was a "mist" like spray but it's more of a gel. it doesnt spray at all. it's probably best used as a thorough moisturizer

I'm not an expert by any means... and I have the opposite problem - seriously dry skin. I've been using it every day since I received it and my skin hasn't reacted to it (i.e., break-out, or appear more dry - if it was possible =)). When you spray it on your face - the product sits on your skin so I usually have to wait to apply moisturizer. You may not even need to add moisturizer since it says on the directions that it's hydrating - probably want to add SPF since it says to avoid sun. This is a completely different than any other toner I've used.

I find this to be the least drying of all of my favorite acne toners and think it would be well suited to your skin type. If you dont like it, sephora has a great return policy.

Question
Why are you instructed to avoid direct sunlight?
I live in Los Angeles so avoiding the sun is a bit hard to do. Will I still have a problem with it if I only use it at night?

Question
Salicylic acid is not listed in the ingredients list or the active ingredients, but the description says it's in the mist. Typo or does it contain it?
I'm looking for a product / toner like this that has salicylic acid in it to treat my moderate break-outs, so I was happy to see it in the general description. However, when I looked in the active ingredients, it was not listed, nor was it listed in the entire ingredients list. Does anyone know if this is a typo, or does this mist NOT contain salicylic acid?

I too thought the info provided online was unclear. I didn't know if it actually contained salicylic acid or not. I received my order recently and the box carton says 1% salicylic acid.
