Questions & Answers for Clarins Instant Smooth Line Correcting Concentrate

Question
Can you use this product OVER makeup
I want something to put on over makeup that will 'disappear' (not show )and smooth wrinkles. Loreal collagen filler used to work until they changed the formula.

I would suggest the LM product for over make up. I use that during the day to give me a dewy refreshed look as my skin is dry and I am aging. I love it and keep it in my make up bag I have heard you can use a bit of aloe vera as well, but that does not contain the light reflecting properties, and is sticky

You can, and then gently pat it into skin. However, the amount of product in the tube is extremely minimal for the price. I was very disappointed because of it.

This product has to be used on clean moisturized skin. I don't think this would be helpful over make-up.

as long as you keep it around your eyes only, you can use it under and over make-up. You wouldn't want to use to prime your whole face with it, for example.

You could, but there is such a small amount in the tube that you will run out in a week! Korres mat pomegranite primer is great. Try that one.

I use it under my eyes and around the wrinkles in the outer edges before adding my YSL touch eclate. That is all I use under my eyes. I like the applicator; it is not a clear jel and appears to have some light reflecting particles in it. Time will tell if it is overpriced and not enough product for the money. Right now, I really like it. I once used the Oil or Olay eye cream (discountinued) that was both an eye cream with light reflecting properties somehwat of a concealer. I use just a tiny bit of this, as if I use too much my under eye highlighter would melt off (the YSL). Have to say I love the idea and applicator. Wish all skin care products came in this type of packaging.

Most def. Dont let the other reviews scare you, I got this as a sample and I have very sensitive skin- this is cream based not clear or sticky it glides on like silk and smooths everything out nicely I used it on my forehead under and around the eyes- works like a charm with ZERO irritation. Try a sample first, but this is a nice product- Good Luck

I doubt many people have the sort of wrinkles under their eyes that this would help. This is for wrinkles - actual lines - if you don't have those, choose something else.

I've also used Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firmx Eye, but it works differently than the Clarins product. Clarins physically fills in the line. The Instant Firmx Eye sort of puffs out your skin to fill in the line. BUT NOTE* the Instant Firmx Eye dries into a white film, so you have to have a moist facecloth to sort of rub off the excess. The Instant Firmx works great as long as you don't wipe it all off while trying to remove the white film. It takes practice, for sure.

I like Fresh and also Amore Pacific. I have used Clarins and find it very nice but not worth $32 for .06 oz of product (for that price I should look 18 again)

LM has a nice balm you put over your make up for a dewy look. I don't think there is any spackle that will fill in lines, or I would dip my entire body into a big pot of it everyday and look like I was 20 again

Worth the price. The results are excellent. I use around my lips and above my eyebrows. Lasts all day without reapplying.

I have tried many of these types of line filling products, for my deep laugh lines. I can't recommend an alternative because they all have performed about the same...none do that much to soften or fill my laugh lines. I just use the Clarins skin smoothing primer on my whole face and it gives a generally smoother surface and softens most fine lines. I didn't get a better effect with this line filler (or others) and they are all much more expensive that the regular, all over face primer.

I purchased this and tried it for exactly the same purpose - to soften or fill laugh lines so that powder and/or foundation would not settle in the lines. It has not worked well for me - just didn't seem to help much. I apply and wait a few minutes for it to dry down a little, then apply makeup. I smile and move my mouth before leaving the house and still need to rub the laugh lines a little to remove the makeup that (still) settles there.

I use this for my laugh lines. I have two lines that are not too deep from my nose to my edge of my lips. I noticed a difference with the serum, but I would avoid using powder, just cover with foundation instead. That was my experience.

I would think so, I use it on my forehead and in between the brows and it works like a charm to smooth it all out- Now I would imagine it would depend on the depth of the line, but I think either way it would either smooth completely or drastically diminish- if you are unsure about it working just try it on one side of your face and compare.
