Questions & Answers for Dr. Brandt Skincare detoxygen® experience

Question
Helps with acne?
I have acne on my forehead/nose, and clogged pores/blackheads... Will this help clear that up? Thanks!

This product does detoxyfy as well as infuse oxygen to increase radiance; which, wouldn't hurt your acne situation. If your main skin cocern is acne and you're in the market for a good mask, try Murad's Sulfur mask...that pulls all the "gunk" out as well as the Ren ClearCalm mask...that one has the highest amount of sulfur which for decades has been the best detoxyfier for your skin. Get a sample from your local Sephora before investing to be sure you will like it.

This detox doesn't claim to help with acne. I use it as a detox and oxygen treatment and that's what it does. I don't have acne, but my son does. He uses things that are designed for that. I hope this helps.

I've tried a wide variety of high end products on my blackheads that appeared over the past 5-6 months with no luck until I tried this one. I had a girl do a facial with it at the store and was so impressed I came back 3 days later to buy it. Definitely think it's worth it.

It will help along with the Dr. Brandt Vacuum Cleaner Blackhead Extractor if you want to get rid of the blackheads. Use one in the morning and one at night several times a week.

The bacteria that causes acne cannot live in an oxygen-filled environment so it does help somewhat but it is not intended for the treatment of acne.

Question
Is step 2 a wash off?
I totally get that Step 1 foams then is rinsed off, but are we supposed to leave Step 2 on? The cream is NOT well-suited to all (especially oily or acne-prone) skin, so can it just be used as a hydration mask and then rinsed as well?

I don't wash the second step off. I apply it thinly and it soaks right in. I tried that for you though. I applied it, left it on for 10 minutes and gently wiped it off with a soft, damp wash towel. I had the same results that I had without wiping it off. I hope this helps.

I have acne too. Just use a tiny amount on your fingers. It melts and just use a very light layer. It has actually helped my acne quite a bit.

The cream (step 2) is meant to be left on after the residue from step 1 has been washed off. I actually think it helps to pile on the cream for a more noticeable glow the next morning. Just avoid the eye area because it does seem to be perfumed.

Question
Dr. Brandt Vs. Bliss Oxygen Mask Treatment?
I am used to using Bliss for my Oxygen treatments and a Sephora specialist recommended me Deoxygen by Dr. Brandt. I am having a hard time wrapping my head around spending $75. What are the true results and is it worth me trying? I am looking for radiant healthy looking skin. I have a medium/olive complexion with rare breakouts.

The two products are definently similar; however, i find the concentrate or step 2 to be very valuable. It's reccommended you follow up with a treatment after doing a mask and the Dr. Brandt has that built in already. This one is great for preventative against enviromental aggressors that could ravage skin a little more so than the Bliss; which is great for infusing oxygen into the skin (same as the Dr. Brandt). My advice, give it a try! If you are unhappy with the product and feel like you like the Bliss one better, just exchange it.

I too had a difficult time justifying the high price of this item. I received it as a sample and used it. I wouldn't have tried it otherwise. It does illuminate your skin quite well and I had no irritation with it. Since I only use it about once a week, It lasts long. It's also quite gentle. In short, it does what it claims to do. I hope this helps.

Brandt's is a thicker and foamy-er cream than Bliss, but I can't really say that one is superior to another. They both refresh the skin and seem to give a temporary glow.

I can't say exactly, but just the sample contained 2 applications. I've bought the full size and it is a lot of product. I see it lasting about 3 months or more. I hope this helps.
