I have both the Original and the Tinted Mineral Veil in the XL sizes,
and neither of them has the locking mechanism like the smaller size does.

YES! This is in place of a setting powder. This sets your Bare Minerals foundation so wonderfully. I can even swim in my makeup!

Yes, it helps set your foundation and reduce shine but it can be chalky feeling and rubs off easy. I use this and after, I put on the Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray and my makeup stays on perfectly!

I have had the color True in mineral veil and am told you don't make that color anymore. What do you suggest I replace it with, it had a hint of simm

I purchased the Illuminating Mineral Veil, in error, and it DEFINITELY had the shimmer and iridescent look, so that may work well for you!

I've not heard of this, but you could try the illuminating mineral veil. It gives a soft shimmer.

MV is a finishing powder. It does not moisturize. It can be used under and over foundation. It can be used under regular primer. Do not put it under BE oil free primer. It balls up and you have to start all over.
