I prefer this one because it just adds a little extra something to the overall look. It is a shimmer but not too much. It just coats your eyelid and corrects any redness or discoloration while still working as well as the original. It really just brightens the whole eye up and I can see using as an under browbone highlight with maybe a setting shadow over it. It really is beautiful...it was recommended to me and I am so glad that it was so I highly recommend it to you!!

If it has any color it might be a very soft blush. I like this new one for night time but it's just a good product like its earlier version.

I use both versions (at the same time). I will put candelite below my crease and the nude version above. I mainly wanted candelite to give my shimmery shadows (below crease) a little more umph. If you had to get just one I would stick with nude, it is more versatile.

I prefer the Original. The Candlelight is great in theory, but seems to be the same color as the original for fair skin tones such as mine.

I prefer this shade because it works better on my pale skin, the original color was darker than my foundation. I also use eyeshadows that are glimmery like candlelight so it blends better with that. It has a white tone to the color, its really light.

I prefer the original for consistency- it blends onto the eyelid more easily. I like the color and shimmer of the candlelight, which is subtle but pretty. It's kind of a champagne color and looks good by itself. I do feel like my eyeshadow covers it completely anyway, so the end result is about the same! Hope that helps!

I think it is to shimmery and shadows grip unevenly to it. The original shadow insurance works better with a colored cream shadow like Benefits over the lid.

It depends on what colors I'm wearing on my eyes. It comes out in a gold color that's absolutely beautiful, but if I'm wearing a matte shadow I don't want that shimmer underneath so I'll go with the original. If I want an extra shimmer or I want something quick to glide on and go, then I go for candlelight.

I like both shadow insurances. One is kind of neutral colour
(dries clear) and the other adds a hint of colour (golden beige).
Hope this helps!

The color is a beautiful shimmery yellow gold. It enhances any shadow, even the lightest colors to really make them pop and stay until taken off at the end of the night.

I have used many different brands of eye primers and this is by far my favorite!

I've only used the UDPP in original color and love this primer more! I also think with the consistency of this you don't need as much as you need when using UDPP.

I have used both UDPP in Sin & Too Faced Candlelight primers. I would have to say that this one feels & looks much better than the Sin. When I used Sin, it didn't feel soft on my lids. And after several hours, I noticed that it seemed to "crack" on my lid & felt very dry. Candlelight is very creamy & soft when you apply it to your lids & has a beautiful sheen to it. To me, it seems like TF looks more illuminating than UD does. The UD seemed more of a matte honey or champagne. The packaging is much better on TF than it is on UD. You can actually get out all the product from the tube, compared to UD (which you can't). Just remember to squeeze the tube between your fingers for a little bit to mix up to product before you squeeze a dab onto you finger. B/C if you don't, you'll get a watery consistency that comes out with it.

Sin was more pigmented on me than this product, but there is NO comparison in performance. THIS is the the best!! I've used Tarte, Benefit, UD, Estee Lauder.... it will be Two Faced from here on out.

Personally, I've not had good luck with Urban Decay. It's a bit heavy for my skin and always seems to crease. Too Faced primers have NEVER given me this problem.

It's more gold than sin is, since sin is more of a pink based.

The product is similar but the colour is a bit different.
Sin is kind of like a champagne beigy-pink and this
one is definately golden. Both work well!

I have used Urban Decay Primer Potions and many others.. I strongly prefer Too Faced Candlelight over any of the others. The color is beautiful alone and with shadow makes any color pop and stay true until taken off. My shimmer and all shadows last even through hot days and oily skin. Hope this helps:)

UDPP Sin is metallic, but it is more of a pink color. I think this is more like UDPP Greed, though this does not have as much pigmentation as Greed.

Yes this is actually the only time I would use this primer. Its very shimmery on its own and accentuates the shimmer in other shadows. Just make sure you work fast with it.

You can wear this under shimmery/glittery shadow and it will intensify the look. It was actually a bit too much for me, but I'm 36 so a bit too young looking for me. FYI this also shows through a bit on matte shadow unless you really pack the powder on. Great for a younger person IMHO.

I would not use it under my eyes at all. Its thick and dries too fast and because it its shimmery it will show through what ever you wear. I would stick to a thinner and matte primer.

I tried this under my eyes, and holy fine lines batman!! It may be ok if you're younger, or have more oily skin. I have dry skin and not much in the way of lines/wrinkles yet (I'm 36). This made me look 10 years older! I have very sensitive skin, and I didn't have any type of reaction to it. You can try it (since you already have it) and see how it works.

I use this product with a brush along my lash line under my eye so that it doesn't go on anywhere I don't want it, and it works just as well as on my upper lids to keep eye shadow in place.

I have used the nude color of this product under my eyes for years. I switched to YSL gel eyeliner at the same time that I bought this product, so I no longer need Shadow Insurance below my eyes, but I believe that this color would be as safe to use under the eyes as the nude version. This one might be kind of bright, though. The champagne stands out well on my skin tone, but it can also be rubbed in/smudged to give a softer look.

Question
Please describe the illumination... glitter? No glitter?
Hello Sephora friends. Can you describe the illumination in this primer? Is there a sparkle or glitter of any kind? Or is it more of a luminescent glow or pearl without any glitter? At 53 years of age, I love soft illumination in products adding a healthy glow, but sparkles, even fine ones, don't work for me. Thank you, lovely ladies!

There is not glitter, it is more of a Shimmer, no more then a shimmery eye shadow. If you put a matte shadow on over it cover it up the shimmer, so you don't have to worry about that coming through if you are going for the matte look.

Question
Okay For Aging Skin?
Does the shimmer in this product highlight creases in your eyelids? My skin is aging and I have to be careful about anything that shows creases or shows up that "crepey" look. Thanks!

I wouldnt recommend it for aging skin for two reasons. It seems to be a much dryer formula than their original. .. and also bc it's very shimmery. Shimmer anything on aging skin, especially if there are alot of wrinkles and deep lines, Will make skin look even more dry and wrinkly. Stick to the original formula if you have aging skin. It's alot more moisturizing, easier to spread, and still gives you all day long staying power.
