This is a cream with a gel texture. Its nice and thick without being heavy and it absorbs nicely into the delicate eye area. it also has a smooth (like velvet butter!) rich and creamy feeling on the skin.

This is a very lightweight cream it absorbs very fast. As far as smell, I didn't notice it had one, so it must not be too strong or noticeable.

It is a cream not a gel. The scent is very light and barely noticable to me. not a problem at all.

It's a cream, and it's very hydrating for how lightweight it is. I little goes a long way. I haven't noticed a scent and I have had zero irritation; my skin is pretty sensitive too and it hasn't bothered me at all. The product info says it doesn't have synthetic fragrances, so I'm not sure what's in it that is considered a fragrance.

Question
will this help prevent fine lines?
i'm 22 and don't have any noticable fine lines or crows feet at this point, but i've heard the old adage "the face you have when you're fifty is the face you earn when you're twenty" and i'd like to be proactive in keeping my skin healthy and smooth, is this the product for me?

From what I have read about skin care and age prevention, its that hydration is key. I am in the same boat and I feel like this is a great prevention product. From how affordable this is, it definitely wouldn't hurt for you to try it. Hope this helps!

I'm almost 35 and wish I would have taken care of my skin a lot better in my 20's. And that means using eye creams as a preventive measure rather than a corrective one. I mentioned in my review that I like this one for night use only. I would suggest an eye cream with an SPF in it for day.

If you are working on preventive maintenance as I call it, this is the product for under the eyes. I love this moisturizer and use it every day. I originally bought it to keep my cream concealer from creasing, but I realized that it has firmed the skin under my eyes. The best thing is. . .its not expensive. I think it is like $24 and it will last a very long time b/c you only need 1/2 a pump to a whole pump to do both eyes.

I'm 22 as well and I love this eye cream. You will not notice a huge difference in improving fine lines since we do not have much yet, but it does keep the eye area moisturized and is non irritating. I also find my eyes look less tired in the morning and more smooth. Try it out! The price isn't bad :)

Question
Why is Sephora leaving me out? :(
I shop at sephora A LOT. And yet I find that I never get any pre-launch items or anything. I have been shopping (again) via the website and I read reviews where mostly everyone had received products as a prelaunch sample or gift - how do they receive this? Why is Sephora leaving me out? I have been a loyal client for years now because of the supposed rewards etc - but this sort of thing just makes me want to go buy at Neiman or Nordstrom's or even from the individual companies themselves. What a disappointment, Sephora.

Because there were no Sephora stores near where I lived before, I did most of shopping on line, where they send you 3 free samples per order. I tried one of their moisturizers that way before buying but it wasn't a pre-launch. If you've signed up as a beauty insider, you should be getting e-mails about special deals occasionally too. I would call customer service if you feel you've been dropped of the list.

Well nothing in the Spam folder. And I sure dont miss the emails that encourage me to spend more and buy more. I just never get the offers of - hey here ya go a free sample or deluxe this for being such a great and loyal customer. I've already started shopping at other stores and the brand names themselves. No point wasting my time with Sephora - at least the others give me something for bringing my business to them.

Sorry to hear you’ve been missing our emails! Try adding Sephora@shop.sephora.com to your contact list and make sure to check your spam folder. If that doesn’t help, then please call 1-877-SEPHORA (1-877-737-4672) & select option 2 to speak with a Beauty Advisor who can research your subscription settings. Thanks!

This is what they call a "360" eye cream so it can be applied to lid as well as the under eye area. No irritation on me and it is moisturizing. I've noticed better consistency on my lid area, not as much on the under-eye.

Question
How does this compare to Dermadoctor Wrinkle Revenge Rescue & Protect Eye Balm ?
I am using the Dermadoctor eye balm because that is what the sales associate suggested, and then just a few weeks later, Sephora came out with their line of Age Defy products. I am looking to tighten up the skin around my eye and get rid of those smile lines. Any suggestions if I should switch to the Sephora brand version?

Question
under make up
How does this hold up under make up? I tried another brand and the make up under my eyes slid off within hours. I looked old and tired at 38. I would like an affordable eye cream that isn't so moist that make up won't stay on. But I don't want my laugh lines to show either.

I use it daily under my makeup. I have extremely oily skin, and it holds up fine under a concealer, primer or BB cream and powder foundation. I do typically reapply powder in the late afternoon due to allover shinyness.

Question
Is this product for Upper Eye Use too?
I have been using DermaDoctor Photo Dynamic Therapy and love it, but I truly don't love the price AND my dermatologists says I am wasting money buying expensive products. I really like that DermaDr product is for upper, lower, and crow's feet areas of eye. I also like that it doesn't make my eyes red. Does the Sephora product work for the entire eye area too?

I've never used the eye cream you've mentioned in your question, but I do know that this cream can be used all over the eye area and doesn't run into your actual eye or cause irritation. It's definitely worth a try, especially since its SO much less expensive than any other quality brand at Sephora.
