I wouldn't use this as a setting spray. Urban Decay has a makeup setting spray that works or if you want to refresh your makeup. I would use the Evian mist spray. I love that.

NO, THIS IS NOT A SETTING SPRAY! Toner is part of a cleaning regime for your face. It should be used after a cleanser. I use a great make up setting spray from Urban Decay (the one that lasts 24 hours is fab) but I heard Make Up Forever makes a good one as well.

For those with sensitive skin I would becareful using this product. Since I had a bad reaction to it I'm hoping it was only me. For anyone with acne prone skin I'd probably stick to a product that deals specifically with your skin type. Sometimes in trying to save a few bucks you pay more in long run as was the case with me when the product made my face burn and turn red. Hope this was helpful.

This is NOT a product for oily skin. It over hydrates and causes the skin to appear shiny and feel greasy.
Even worse when make-up is applied after use.

Yes, I had some irritation & the fragrance is strong. It broke me out after 2 days of using it just as a spray, not as a toner (soaking a cotton pad in it). I definitely wouldn't recommend it for sensitive or acne-prone skin.

I have sensitive skin and breakout and have not had any problems with this. I generally use Tarte cosmetics and try to stick to as many natural products as possible. This is my favorite toner I have ever tried, it feels great and gets your skin REALLY clean while somehow leaving it soft.

I have VERY sensitive skin, and I have had no problems using the product. It does NOT work like a regular toner that has a lot of alcohol and/or drying ingredients which can aggrevate acne or troublesome skin; this product makes your skin feel really clean and refreshed after taking off your makeup or washing then spraying this product on afterwards. I recommend it, and keep in mind that if you buy it and hate it, you can always return it:)

Actually, it has butylene glycol and glycol is in the alcohol family, but I think you're asking if it has alcohol like rubbing alcohol. If that's what you mean, then no, it does not have alcohol. In most cases, if an ingredient ends in -ol, it's usually in the alcohol family.

Question
Does it cause breakouts?
I noticed that some people said this made them break out, or can cause breakouts. In spite of my age, I have to be very careful with products because some will break me out.

I would appreciate some clarification before I buy this product. Thank you.

Question
application
I use a toner (Avene thermal water) but have been using it after moisturizing. After reading the suggested usage for this toner I am thinking I have been using the products in the wrong order. Do you think I should be using the toner first and then moiturizer regardless of what particular product it is?

Always tone first. Toners are meant to help your moisturizer soak in better and to balance the ph of your skin.

I don't think there is wrong way to use toner, but I think you'd benefit more from applying your toner 1st. It's a lighter product than your moisturizer and your skin can "drink it in" more efficiently, if it's applied before a heavier product.
