Same as using the sugar body scrub?
Hi, I was wondering if I should skip buying this and use my brown sugar body scub n my lips instead? They seem the same but I dont love my scrub so I am willing to give this a try.

No, the ingredients and granules are different in both scrubs. The lip scrub is very gentle.

Check the ingredient list. If it's the same, and in the same amounts, should work fine on your lips. Just remember that lip skin is much more delicate than body skin!

i was thinking the same thing for the price. but if you say it like that then why do people create body and face scrubs ones more gentle and the ingredients maybe different this small jar will last you a long time

YES! Excellent idea. This little pot is a big disappointment and any other scrub you own would work just as well, especially the Fresh Brown Sugar Body Scrub. It's basically the same thing, except the body scrub has a bit of an oilier consistency.

I dont have the body scrub, but I've used other body scrubs for my lips and they work just as well. Save the money and don't also purchase this.

I was wondering the same thing, since this product is pricey. But, I sprung for the lip scrub, and found that it is MUCH more moisturizing than the body scrub. So, though the body scrub might work (and I would give it a try if I had any left) I don't think it would leave your lips as hydrated as the lip-specific scrub does.

I would say not! If you don't like the body sugar then you won't like this product. It did nothing for me... Good luck finding something that DOES work though!

The granules in this lip polish seem much finer than in the body scrub. The body scrub may be pretty aggressive for your face...

NOOOOO!!!!! The body polish has lots of oils in it that your face may not enjoy... not worth trying. Get to a Sephora and get a free sample of the lip polish.

No, i would not use brown sugar body scrub on your lips! Yikes. Scoop a few spoonfuls of the scrub into a running bath if you don;'t like to scrub with it. It make a nice moisturizing oil bath too

The scrub is much coarser then the lip polish. I have both and after trying the lip polish, I couldn't imagine using the scrub on my lips. The polish has very fine granules of exfoliants (so a little does go a long way) and it doesn't have the oily finish that the polish does. That being said, a lip balm is a must after using the lip polish.

You only need to use a tiny bit, so once a week, should last for ages. Thing is though it is pretty pricey and there are other lip polishes/exfoliators out there that will do the same thing. Guess it all depends on how much you like the scent of brown sugar :)

You need only a very tiny amount of product, so the jar will last you a very long time. If you use too much, it will only fall off your lips. They just need to be slightly coated for a good result.

How often can I use it?
I know, for instance, that face scrub should be used once at 2-3 days, not daily. Is it safe to use this product every day if needed? My lips are very dry especially during winter.

I use it everyday. It's not too harsh. You determine how hard you scrub and you can't beat the built in moisturizer. I do it at night before going to bed for the best effect.

I absolutely use it daily. It keeps my lips from becoming flaky. They are still unfortunately dry in the winter, however, I think it keeps them much softer than balm alone.

Amore Pacific is a super lubricating product but too much if you will be putting on lipstick or gloss right away. I also like L'occitane's lip balm which is really convenient to have at home and also to take with you in a purse or pocket.

I typically use the Jack Black Lip Balm, also sold by Sephora. It has Cacao and Shea butter, both really good moisturizers. Plus, it's also a good lip sunscreen. I prefer the Grapefruit and Mint flavors. I find the Blackberry and Lemon scents a little off putting.

You apply it, buff it with your fingertip, and then rinse off with warm water. It comes off easily, and your lips stay smooth, without the grainy residue other products leave. I suggest following with a lip moisturizer to protect and "lock" in the results.

The instructions suggest you wipe off your lips with a wet cloth. I also suggest this, but only to get all the chunky bits off. I try to leave as much of the balm on as possible.

I just rinsed off the scrub with warm water. It leaves behind some of the nice oils that are in the product and kept my lips nice and soft. Love this stuff!!

I used about half of my Smashbox Lip Exfoliant until I realized it wasn't really doing much for me. The different sized particles weren't very effective and I found that after a while, it would become oily and not much of the actual exfoliant came out of the tube. I recently bought this lip polish and it is so much better. It is more abrasive, but that contributes to its being more effective at buffing away the dead skin off my lips. The taste is not as great, but I would choose this over the Smashbox any day now.

I was under the impression things like Tocopheryl Acetate, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Limonene*, Benzyl Alcohol*, Linalool*, Citral* were not very "Fresh" ingredients at all, but rather harmful chemicals. Curious to hear what others have to say, because I think it would just be better to make my own. (Sugar+honey+jobobba oil is one recipe I've heard)
