I use a foundation brush to draw a "C" around my eyes (temple to eye area) and then add a bit to my cheekbones. I also add a dab to highlight under my eyebrows and inner eyes. I then blend it on my face with clean fingers. This product is rather soft, and messy if you just put your fingers in it. The bacteria will grow in this rather quickly; and it is an expensive product to replace so often if you choose this method.

no, I just use my fingers, just be sure they are clean fingers. I'm sure you could use a brush if you wanted to but why dirty a brush...

4 Me, Yes. I sometimes use a primer, sometimes use the BB cream or TM, rarely use a foundation (but do on special occasion), never set my make up with poweder or any type of spray, and do not touch up my make up during the day. Looks as good at the end of the day as it does in the morning. Then again, I do not use alot of make up, period. Less is more.

It really is not greasy at all! I was a little suspicious as well, but it really is a great product. For me it lasts from half a day to the whole day, it just depends on how much i put on. But it's very light and drys quickly.

For me, it lasted all day. I even took a shower - and came out still glowing from this gorgeous product! It comes off easily with make-up remover, or my ever-ready handy baby wipes - but it does stay all day without feeling dry. You literally don't even know you're wearing it, except every time you look in the mirror!

I have this in Moonshine; it's a pearly translucent glow, like mother-of-pearl. I notice a very slight pinkish tint, NOT from the product, but from my own skin. I'm very fair with pink in my cheeks. If you're not a pink fan, you'll still be happy with this product in Moonshine.

If you have fair skin I would probably get 'Sin'. I have pretty fair skin and tried moonshine and loved it but it's dark color needed to be combined with bronzer to make it look more natural. However, I really loved the bronze color moonshine had to offer because it provided definition to my cheek bones.

Did I get a bad batch ?

The highlighter I bought has a melted sort of consistency - I don't recall the sample in store being this consistency, it was more of like a cream eyeshadow consistency, which is what I wanted.
So my question is, did I get a bad batch ? Or is this product meant to be sort of melty, slidey and oily ?

You did not get a bad batch. I honestly HATE this highlighter, it is the worst one I've ever used. It's way too greasy and thin and cheap feeling overall. It was like this when I opened it for the first time, went straight back to the store.

My product is creamy, solid and hasn't gone "slidey" even after carrying in my purse ever since I received it. I think you must have gotten a bad batch and I would return if I were you. Terrible!! I love this product and plan to repurchase-I hope it turns out ok for you!!

I would definitely take it back to the store and have someone take a look at it. Mine is definitely a cream eyeshadow-like consistency. Not oily at all. You may have gotten a bad batch.

sounds like it. this is pretty thick and creamy so if its not like that then i dont think the batch you got is a good one. i actually have a hard time using a brush with this because its so thick.

SIN. I also use JM Argan Illuminator that is more gold in color. I have Hazel Eyes, lighter skin and pink undertones. I have too much pink & red in my face, and adding these colors balances out my skin tone, helps hide the wrinkles and imperfections and adds a nice glow without making me look clownish or overdone.

I have fair skin and blondish brown hair and dark eyes, I tried both Sin and Wicked on it the store, I went with Sin because it was more of a champagne color and I have a lot of pink and red undertones in my face and I didn't want it to look like I had an eye infection or a fever. Sin highlights my brow bone and the my cheeks bones with a soft shimmer and not much color i really love it.

I believe the color Sin works well with lighter skin tones. I have a fair skin tone & it works perfectly, maybe you could use the darker colors as a light bronzer to contour. For my first time buying the product just to try it out, I played it safe & got Sin & its so pretty!

I apply right on my cheek bone moving up towards your outer corner of your eye, and blend. Then I apply a light layer of either blush or bronzer over it, it will look great. Sin is the best color

Sephora sales person showed me a really easy fast great way to apply this. You use a foundation brush so not to use too much product, add just a bit to the brush (no need to soak it in), make a "C" from just over your eye brow to under to defect light away from your winkles, and add bit to your cheekbones if you want to. Then rub in with your fingers if you want to, wipe off your brush, and you look great and your product stays clean i.e. bacteria free and lasts longer.

No, it's not online only. The US always gets the first shipments of new products. This is a brand new product, been out for only a few weeks. But Canada should get it in before Feb 2011. :)

I'm pretty tan all year round, and sin is the perfect color. It's very cream and so worth the money. What I is....I add the highlight right on my cheek bone, then I apply my blush over it, the sheer just makes the blush pop.

I have a similar complexion. It will look great on you and I reccomend Wicked. I prefer to use it over my blush, it won't smudge your other makeup don't worry.

I think the "sin" color would look best on your complexion, though you might even want to go the next shade darker. I think that the fact that this product is a cream makes it work on all different types of complexions.
