Most "glittery" eyeshadow contain a form or so of mica or talc. That is what makes eyeshadows pop with that fine tuned glitter. Is is safe for the eye, ya but it is still uncomfortable to get in any dry prodect in the eye. Now wether or not the mica or talc is organic and natural is actualy going to have to be researched more on your part. But if you do reaserch long you will miss out on such a nice pallet. happy googling

you might want to try the stila company website to get those questions answered
there should be an ingredient listing
or a # to call
they'll be able to tell you the origin manfg country
pretty sure they're made in the usa
don't have time to write you a full list of ingredients though!

I believe the whole thing is made in China. Stila is a Belgian company - if the shadows were made in Belgium, the whole thing would be a LOT more expensive.

Question
How do the colors compare to the Costco Stila boxset?
Hey, I just got a great deal on the Costco Stila 30 eye shadows plus other stuff. But this Stila eye palette says it has greens, which are my favorite colors, and the shadows look more sparkly and lighter and more clearly coordinated--at least in the picture here. Is this true? Or are most of the colors the same. Has anyone compared the two?

The colors in this kit are really well organized and of different intensitiies sorted by shades. My sister has the costco kit and loves it, but I prefer this one. There is a range of olive-green, green and teali colors in this. I love green/purple shadows and this came 6 shades of green and 6 shades of purples.

The shadows appear to be sparkly but when applied to the skin it is 5 shades lighter in color and no real shimmer. I wish I had spent my money on a different brand with fewer colors but been happier with the results.

I haven't compared the two items, but I wouldn't consider this palette to have a lot of greens. It has like a smoky teal/mint and dark olive shades...

There is a set of 3 colors that are supposed to be used together to create the 'olive look' according to the look book.
Its a dark olivey green, mixed with upper gold hilights, and a very dark almost black olive, with an almost dark dark darkkk purpley undertone.
I love the olive look.
However if you are looking for multiple greens, there is technically only one very tiny green eyeshadow circle.
The next closest colors are a set of three variations of teal!

This is the first Stila eyeshadow I've purchased. The green color names from the largest at the bottom right corner in towards the center are: mint, teal, and gunmetal. The colors from the 3 o'clock position (out to center) are: light olive, olive, and dark olive.
Note that the shimmer isn't always the lightest or darkest. For these sets, the darkest has the most shimmer, but the olive is matte.

They will probably carry this until they run out, it's on sale at my local Sephora. Def worth the cost. I bought mine in late October or early November, so not sure how much longer they will carry this.

These good value, limited edition products seem to come out usually around christmas time; great time for gifts for good value. I wouldn't wait too much longer if it is something that you really want. Some Sephora stores I have been to are sold out of this product and probably will not receive more. If you find it online, my suggestion is to buy it!

This palette is part of the Holiday 2010 collection, so that implies that Stila intends a fairly short run. That said, it's possible to still buy the mini smudge pot set that was part of the Holiday 2009 collection on Zappos.com. I think it's just available until it runs out or until Sephora stops carrying it to make room for another product.

It is pricey, but I love it. Save your pennies and buy soon!
