It smells like you're at the spa! I usually react to anything with perfume or scent but I've never reacted to this product. I'd say you're in the clear!

As I wrote, I do not like this product as I did not find any difference in the condition of my skin and it even broke out a bit but if your worry is the scent, then do not worry, there is no scent. nothing I could even detect, fairly mild

Not at all! The fragrance is soft at best and more like aromatherapy.

it isn't overpowering. Bobbi doesn't like added fragrances either. Everything you smell in her products are from the ingredients themselves...one of my faves is the vitamin enriched face base.

I can't stand overly perfumed products either. But I love this scent! I use this at night and find the scent to be very soothing, like a spa. In fact, I was putting it on one night and my husband grabbed the jar from me so he could smell it! I think I waited like 5 minutes to get it back :)

I'm very sensitive to perfumes and colognes (they give me a headache) but I really love the smell of this oil. BUT, if you've been sensitive to essential oil smells in the past, this will probably irritate you. You really only need a very small amount - i've used mine about 10 times and I can't see that it's been used at all - so, since you use such a tiny bit, I'm guessing the smell would be less overpowering than usual. At least sephora has a great return policy! If you have dry skin, you'll love this.

i've found that the scent is very pleasant... but i'd caution using it near the eye. if you tend to get oily throughout the day, this oil helps with that but if you use too much - it can get in your eye and make it watery.

I, too, am sensitive to fragrance. I find the scent a lovely and very temporary aromatherapy experience. I will say that the fragrance notes are everything I look for in a perfume, so I might be a little biased, but I really don't find it overpowering or lingering.

I have mature skin and apply my normal moisturizers first, then Bobbi Brown face oil, then BB cream. Makeup goes on smoothly and beautifully over this product.

Yes! It's amazing! Use it before, if you need more hydration. Use after to put moisture back into skin if foundation looks cakey or dry.

If you have really dry skin you could use it under makeup. If I have blemishes in the process of drying out, I'll dab some oil on them before I put concealer on, it makes for a much more natural look. I don't see why you couldn't do this on the rest of your face, if needed.

actually, I found that the oil stayed a bit on the face so that when you did put on makeup, it did blend in fairly easily. the only down side was under the eyes where it would sometimes drawn down my mascara

I don't think this is what you are looking for in an under eye type of moisturizer. I did not find that it did great things for my skin and the oil itself is just not what would really hydrate your delicate under eye area. So, in short, no.

No, this should not be applied under the eyes. The best for dry, thin skin under eye treatment would be the hydrating eye gel. It is high in water content, light weight and fast absorbing.

I don't believe there is anything active in this oil. All natural derivatives. It's a synthetic version of the skins natural oil.

As far as I know, the ingredients are a blend of oils and essential oils. I have ridiculously sensitive skin and I've never had a reaction to this product. Its incredibly calming. I had to stop using Kate Somerville products because they were too harsh for my skin.

I have used both and way prefer this product. Bobbi's face oil even worked better in my hair than the Josie Moran Argan oil. There is something about this particular blend of oils. The only brand I have tried that even comes close for the face is Anastasia, but I still prefer this. For the hair, the only brand beating this is Davines Oi oil. It is the best, but I'm not sure if that one can be worn on the face. So this oil overall, wins.

I don't see why it would go bad. Smell it. If it's not rancid, I would think it's fine. There's really nothing in it that would "expire." The smell is nice, and you should easily tell if it's rancid.
