I got a three shadow palette of hers a while ago that is very versatile... with gold dust,toffee, and burnt sugar, .... i think gold dust is a must for any skin tone, and blend with another metallic. You can't go wrong with her metallic shadows. Avoid the bronzed pink one, though. good luck, and go with a metallic.

If you're interested in a brownish palette, Bone, Blond, and Mahogany work really well together. I'm fair, blond, and blue eyed, and at first I was afraid of the Mahogany because it is dark, but it blends beautifully. The bone helps tone it down for day, and for evening, it makes a great liner or smokey eye. I also dab a bit into my brows when I want a more dramatic look.

What is the item # for the Bobbi Brown palettes if buying more than one shadow?

I am considering buying 3 of the Bobbi Brown eye shadows. In the "what else you need to know" section, it states that the shadows come in a "sleek, flip-top compact that can be used individually or assembled into palettes (sold separately). " The way I understand this is I can purchase a "compact" type accessorie to store my 3 eyeshadows together. Am I understanding this correctly?

yes you are correct. Each shadow comes packaged as the picture shows. However, if you press on the bottom of the case, the shadow will pop out in the smaller pan. You can then buy an empty palette (which I think are $10) and pop the shadows back in. You can always save the individual packages for when you are traveling so don't throw them away!! Hope this helps!

You are understanding correctly. The Three Pan Palette (item # 1291244) sells on Sephora for $10. It will hold any combo of shadows and blushes. It's made of the same material as the regular shadow cases; however, the top's solid (instead of the clear square) and is backed by a mirror. The bottom of the palette exposes the bottom of the eyeshadow pan so that you can read the color names. The palette is the same thickness as the compact and is just longer than three compacts arranged side by side.

I find it extremely convenient. Having my shadows pre-arranged into sets makes my morning make-up routine quicker and easier. Also, the palette easily fits in a make-up bag. The color pans snap in securely, but they're also easy to move out of the compact and into the palette.

What does the Bobbi Brown Banana color eye shadow look like in person?

I normally use the Bone color as a base then accent with a darker color along the outside and eyelid crease and a shimmer white in the inside corner of the eye. I'm wondering if the Bone isn't providing enough of a base color to really matter. I was considering the Banana color but haven't seen it in person. Can anyone offer any details about it?

it looks like banana - softly colored, not very yellow. I used to use soft peach as base and loved it. They discontinued it. Not thrilled with banana. Used to use bone - may go back to that or switch to another brand.

The Bone shade is lighter than the Banana and works great as a base for any complexion or look. Banana is a cream while the bone is an off white and would be best used as a highlighter or in the inner corner to brighten. Hope this helps!

The white eye shadow does not have glitter or sheen. All the shadows on this page are true matte. Bobbi Brown does make a sheen and glitter (called metallic) eyeshadow, but they're listed as separate products.

Bobbi Brown. I have never used BB, my staples from Chanel or Dior. I was looking for a nice matte grey. A Chanel associate said to try BB. I am very pleased when I bought an eyeshadow from BB during F&F. I am lookng to buy a few more to add to my collection of eye makeup :)
