Question

How often should I clean this brush?

I've never used a brush to apply foundation until I got this one. I love it, but wonder if I am supposed to clean it (wash it) after each use. I have been doing it using bare minerals brush cleaner. Was wondering if I can just wipe it off with a tissue after each use and occasionally clean or am I doing it right.

I clean my brushes once a week and it has been sufficient. I have had the same concealer brush for 8 years!

You should clean it every single time after you use it! It's very important to have your brush be clean when you are using it because bacteria and oil builds up in it after you use it and if you leave the foundation in it, it'll build up and you'll regret it! You can clean your brush using regular shampoo and every once in a while, you can use conditioner! After you are done washing, gently squeeze out the water. Then, use a paper towel to blot out the excess water. I dry my brush by using a clothes clip and hanging it (luckily I have a clothes line in my laundry room). Make sure you have the brush facing down because gravity will allow it to dry properly!

In addition to wiping after each use, brushes should be deep cleaned once a month.

For deep cleanings, moisten brushes, work into a light lather using a gentle soap or brush shampoo, and rinse in cold running water. Be sure to lie brushes flat to dry. Hope that helps!

Bobbi Brown's foundation brush of Makeup Forever's HD 30N brush??

I've read reviews for both brushes. They both sound great. If you have used both, which one do you prefer? I want one that is the longest lasting, easiest to clean, and does not soak up all of my liquid foundations.

I have the Boobi Brown brush and it does not soak up my foundation. I actually use less than I was with my fingers and with makeup wedges
