Questions & Answers for Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15

Question
Which shade is right for my fair skin?
I have fair skin, brown hair, blue eyes. I normally wear i.d. bareminerals in fair (1c). I'm not sure what my undertones are. I've tried the Makeup Forever high def. foundation in ivory (115) and it made my face look too pink and was a little dark for me. I then tried Makeup Forever in marble (117), and this looked pretty good, but it's just a tad too yellow and dark. My face is a little pink from all the stuff I use to combat my acne, so I need a color that will neutralize that and help my face to match the rest of my body. I've heard a lot of great things about Bobbi Brown cosmetics, and I would love to try this foundation, but there seems to be a lot of options for fair skin, and I'm overwhelmed. I don't have a Sephora store near me, so I can't try an in-store sample. Which shade is right for me?

I would definitely recommend going into a Sephora store and asking one of their specialists. I was pleasantly surprised when I went in and asked about foundation in general and she directed me straight to Bobbi Brown. Also, I was a darker shade than I thought I was. I've always been quite pale with pink undertones, but instead of being like, one of the porcelain fair shades, I ended up being Cool Beige.

This doesn't exactly answer your question, but in regards to MUFE HD you're probably 110!

My closest shade in MUFE HD is 117 also, and I wear Sand 2.0 in Bobbi Brown! The shade right underneath that, Warm Ivory, I could wear also, but it's quite a bit more yellow! Hope that helps!

I have fair-medium skin with yellow undertones. In most foundations I wear the 2nd lightest shade. In Bobbi Brown I wear 2.5 warm sand. It sounds like your skin is quite fair and neutral tone. If I were you, I'd buy the 2 lightest shades and return one (0 and 00). The third shade (1) is a 'warm' and will probably be too yellow on you, but if 0 or 00 are too light you could try 2. Sephora has an excellent return policy. I also have problems with adult-acne and redness and this foundation evens me out quite well. It's also buildable so I can put a second layer on the reddest areas and it covers well but still looks natural.

Question
What Color to Select?
I would like to purchase the Bobbi Brown skin foundation but am not sure what color to use. Currently I use Bare Escentuals in Fairly Light or MAC NW20. Could someone suggest which would be appropriate for Bobbi Brown?
Thanks.

I also use NC35. Remember that ALL of the BB foundations are very yellow, but some more than others. You could go with Beige (VERY peachy) or cool beige, which is NOT cool, more neutral on the yellow side - I did that. If these are too dark, which I doubt, you could go with Warm Sand. But those are the options. I think Beige is ridicolously peachy. BTW, this is an awesome foundation.

I would suggest going into a store and having one of the employees match up your color. That is what I did and I am glad I did, I got a perfect match.

Question
Shade recommendation?
My local sephora doesn't carry Bobbi Brown products do I can't be matched. I also don't have a Bobbi Brown counter near me. I wear Nars Sheer Glow in Deauville, Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer in nude and Bare Minerals Fairly Light. Can anyone help me with what color I should buy? I was leaning toward Sand 2 after looking at swatches online. Thanks for your help.

Lightweight, but full coverage, doesn't become oily or dry and cracked. This is my favorite foundation ever and I have tried just about everything. I found this quite by accident. Sephora sent me a Bobbi Brown sample a few months back and it was happily ever after since then. I have light/medium combination skin. I use the 3.5 Beige or the 4.0 Natural. For comparison purposes, I use Medium Beige in Bare Minerals. Works great with creme blush and powder blush alike. Young gals and older gals alike- this money spent well. I hope I have provided you with a fair, objective and helpful review. :)

I wouldn't take any chances--definitely go to the Bobby Brown counter at your local department store. It's too expensive to risk a mistake!

I ended up going to Macy's to match my colour.. I think your safest bet is to go get matched, because the colour I was going to buy would have been too dark.

How will I know what color to buy for my skin tone? I have always used Lancome Bisque 0, but have heard alot about your product.
I have noticed that my skin has been alot more oily this year than any other year. I have not been very happy with Lancom lately and just don't know where to turn. Could you please help guide me in the right direction. I have thick and coarse hair, color is chocolate brown with red tones and blonde high lights. I get my hair colored once a month or little over.

Question
Oil free? color help please :)
Hi there! This foundation sounds great, but I have a few questions. Is it oil free? What would be the correct color for light skin with pink undertones? Last, but not least does BB produce cruelty free products? Thanks for any help that you can give!
