You can, but it's not necessary. I wonder if it would negate some of the benefits of the mascara if you did use the base under it. I skip it unless I'm using the original Definicils.

I find that it smudges very easily. Does not come in waterproof. The positive thing is that you will not rip all of your eyelashes out when trying to take it off.(:

I loved the original too but I love this one more! Worth every penny and looks fabulous day or night. You won't regret switching over.

I like this better because definicils was a bit dry and cakey for me.

I also like the original. This one is clumpier, flakier, and harder to remove than the original. I haven't used it long enough to see if it does thicken my lashes.

I'd say stick with the original. I wish I had. This one just doesn't have that smooth texture the original has. It seems drier and slightly clumpy to me, and the brush is different. I haven't used it long enough to see if it actually improves my lashes but so far I don't really like it. It's not like Definicils at all. They should have called it something else.

The original is good - this one is better. This one actually improves the condition of your lashes so when you are not wearing it, your lashes still look amazing. Only once did I shell out the money for the original after deciding it wasn't that much better than other brands. After trying this one, I will buy it again. Mascara is normally the first thing I will cheap out on, but not this one. This one is amazing. It stays on as well as the original, but it really does improve your natural lashes, which is something that the first one could not do.

I haven't found that this mascara is more wet - it seems to stay put. I've had the same issue with dotting and mascara ending up below my eyes but this doesn't seem to do that as much.

Take a few minutes to let it dry before you run away from your makeup mirror. I have noticed it is a bit more wet than the others, but if you wait about 60 seconds after applying it, and use an eyelash comb, too, you will see a big difference. I usually get dots, too, if I don't let it dry, but it's worth the extra minute or so to let the product set.

On my lashes - the Precious Cells definitely does last just as long or better than the regular Defincils.

It's creamier and dries softly, keeping your lashes full of moisture.

I use it without the booster, unless I'm going out someplace expensive, or where I need to look my best. The booster gives you longer, thicker lashes, but I think it would inhibit the lash improvement ingredients.

I prefer it without a primer, as lashes feel more "conditioned". It has enough volume not to need a base, for me. I love it.
