Questions & Answers for Sultra The Bombshell 1 Inch

Question
Universal Voltage
I am going on my honeymoon this upcoming June and was wondering more about the universal voltage... is it safe to bring this curling iron to Greece, do I need to bring a convertor, an adapter, or what accessories are required for this to work overseas...
If something goes wrong and I end up frying it (.. trust me I'm pretty clumsy..) is there any kind of warranty or protection?

Thanks!

You will always need an adapter since the outlets and voltage in Europe are different from the US/Canada (even through out Europe). There is no exception to this. I have successfully used mine in three different European countries without a problem and with the required adapter.

I would still recommend getting a converter to take. On the box it says it is okay for the US and Canada but you may need a converter for other countries. I travel a lot and just from experience i would take one anyway.

Product is made in Korea, just like the GHDs (although I can't tell you if the same manufacturing company is responsible)

I haven't tried the curling iron from GHD but the Sultra is definately a high quality product. I do very much like the GHD volumizing products and I can speak for their high quality as well, just not the iron.

It's a completely different product; it's sort of the GHD equivalent for curling hair

Question
Is it worth owning a Bombshell Iron in addition to Flat Iron?
I already use a flat iron for making big curls in my long hair - Would it be a waste to own this in addition to a flat iron or worth the cost? I've heard such great things about the bombshell and can't decide if I need it or not. :)

YES, a flatiron will not hold the curls for NEARLY as long as a curling iron. Trust me.

I own a straightner as well and believe it or not i was having the same dilemma but i decided to buy it. I decided to buy it because the straightner does not leave your hair like an actual curling tool. They both give a different curl. This Bombshell is so light weight, heats up really fast, easy to use and does wonders to your hair. I love it because i can do my hair in about the same time as it takes me to straighten it and trust me i have very long and thick hair. I recommend you buy because it is a good investment. I was in a financial time when i bought it but i do not regret it lol

Question
Automatic shut off
I noticed that it has an automatic shut off after 30 minutes of inactivity. If I've taken more than 30 minutes on my hair, it starts to shut off even though I'm using it. Anyone else have this problem?

Not quite, because I don't take half an hour on my hair. However, my hand bumps the switch sometimes. Just flip the switch ASAP and it will heat up very fast so you can resume curling :))

They are different sizes. I own the 1 inch and my cousin the 3/4. They both produce that beachy look but the 3/4 gives a more tighter and defined curl. They both work great

The 3/4 inch will make smaller, tighter curls and the 1 inch with make looser waves/ curls

Question
Does this have an adjustable temperature control? Or it automatically goes to 360 degrees?
I'm just wondering if it's better to get one with an adjustable temperature since I have fine hair. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think so. I only have the 3/4 inch, but I wouldn't think the inch does. The 3/4 inch only goes up to 400 degrees and thats it.

No it automatically goes to 360. But you really dont have to hold your hair on the and for an overly long tim to get a curl.
