I apply my foundation with a brush, then with the back of the brush a scratch a little of the highlighter, blush etc and put on the back of my hand and apply them all the the same brush(just using my hand as a palette) this works well for me and I believe makes it more sanitary seeing as I'm not dipping fingers in the product every day.Of course you will want to clean the foundation brush after every use. Hope this helped :)

Yes, I use one brush on all colors. You don't have to worry about the colors mixing, by just brushing the brush off on your hand or wrist, will get the last color free so you can load the new color. I love it.

In the instructions it tells you to use your fingers for all the products. They are all creme based and a brush would not blend in the product as well as your fingers could.

I haven't used a brush to apply the product but I have used a kabuki brush to help blend it out on my face. It seems to work well, no problems yet.

Yes, but I would recommend a fanned light brush so you don't get too much product waste and it folds over the cheeks.

I don't think you could use a brush... fingertips are going to work the best especially to get proper blending. It all goes on really easily and is not greasy on the skin at all. I have been really happy with my palette.

There are 'inserts' that come along with this color kit and it suggests that you apply the makeup with your fingertips.
The heat from your fingers warm up the 'cream' and it allows you to blend the make up very easily

I don't know that a brush would work well with the creamy consistency of this palette. A sponge or your fingers would work best!

Bronzer is satin finish, not matte but not shimmery or metallic. the veils both have shimmer but it's low key, not glittery.

In my opinion, it leaves more of a healthy/ glowing "sheen". I was hesitant at first, and gave it a try with some urging. Now it's a staple! <3

There is no frost in the palette , the only colors with shimmer are the two highlighters and bronzer but it is very fine and doesn't look at all glittery just glowing. The blushes arer sheer and pigmented with no shimmer.

The cheek colors look slightly, very slightly, shimmery in the pan, but when you apply them they go on smooth and sheer. I do not like shimmery, frosty colors either and these are perfect. There are two, one light and one a bit darker. The entire palette is delightful. I highly recomment this exceptional value!

I have extremely sensitive skin and I have been using the product for about 4 weeks and I have not had a single break out. Usually, I break out right away if I use anything other than my oil free calming lotion and the one makeup that I found after trying about 10 that does not make me break out.

I don't think it claims to be fragrance and/or oil-free. But I have particularly sensitive, rosacea prone skin and this product does not make me break out at all. It gives me a natural looking glow. I love it!

Question
My face is too pale
I have been using sunblock heavily for the past few years, and my face is a good 4 shades lighter than the rest of my body. Would love to find out if it would be best for me to use a darker foundation than the current skin shade or the same color with bronzer. Also would it be better to use a self tanner on my face and hope it matches the rest of me? Thanks!

I would use bronzer, like this bone mine palette. Using a darker shade of foundation can look unnatural and I have not had the best luck with self tanners for face. If you cleanse and exfoliate regularly, the self tanner won't stay on your face. Using an all-over cream bronzer on your face would give it a bit more warmth.

Hi, I totally understand where you are coming from in regard to the lighter color because of your sun screen compared to the rest of your body. I am in the same boat and found that using a darker foundation didn't work. I love using a tinted moisturizer ( I like Lorac In the Buff) it is very light, but it actually highlights my face. Then I use Bonne Mine - Healthy Glow For Face & Cheeks Crème Colour Palette to shade, contour and color my face to a healthy natural look. I love it!

Why do 't you go to a sephora and try out this palette? I think more than using darker base make up try to layer it out with this? Honestly I think that this palette would be perfect for you because you can put a little and you can blend it with your fingers. There are instructions on how to use the palette and where to put it on face.
I sincerely suggest you try it out. Im an artist and i think its possible for you to look great with it as long as you practice and experiment so you know how to use you fingers to blend.
Good luck!

I also use sunscreen and am pale year round. I used Laura Mercier's bronzing powder and a bronzer brush for years to give myself a natural looking tan, and I bought this product to see if I can get the same effect. I think a good bronzer looks more natural than a darker foundation.

Question
for light skin?
has anyone used this on light skin with neutral undertones? I'm concerned about the bronzers showing up too orange or muddy or too dark. Also concerned about the blush being too dark.

I'm between Fairly Light to Light for Bare Escentuals, and I use Beige in Bobbi Brown.

All of the colors are sheer and blendable. The bronzer is gorgeous and not orange at all. I have very pale skin with neutral undertones and this palette is gorgeous on me. I can use both blushes, the bronzer and one of the highlighters. The other highlighter is a bit dark for me as a typical highlight, but I can use it as a slightly shimmery bronzer.

I believe my skin is a little lighter than you( looking at your makeup colors) and I love this, use less product than you think and build it up to the color you like. A little goes a long way, the colors are bold but sheer so they work great on lighter skin:)

I have very light skin even though I my body is darker. I use this and there is not fake coloring, you layer it as dark or light as you want and it is very naturally contouring. I love it. It is not a frosted look, but it is a shimmering look.

You definitely need to use a medium self tanner to use this product. I am very fair (sometimes even the lightest makeup is too dark for me) and I used a self tanner before using this product. I only use the lightest blush mixed with my makeup and the lightest bronzer and the veil color though, the darker ones would be too dark.

I have fair skin, fairly light in bare minerals, tender rose in laura mercier, and I found the bronzer an excellent shade for me its very buildable, to be subtle or more intense in the summer if you prefer. Not muddy.

do these colors last on your eyelids?

If you use cream blush, you would probably be fine with this. It blends out very sheer and light and the creams don't melt instantly when you touch them like some do, you kind of have to rub with your finger to warm it a little. They are not soft and mushy. They don't feel oily to me and haven't clogged my pores or broken me out and I use it every day now.
