Too Faced Lashgasm Mascara

What it is:A voluptuous, fluffing mascara that conditions as it thickens to create dramatically long lashes with intense color. What it does:Lashgasm's multiple rows of flexible-but-firm, molded bristles are designed with micro-hooks that grab each and every lash for a clump-free application. The vitamin-rich, creamy formula penetrates for high-color absorbency and exaggerated depth. Meadowfoam seed oil forms a protective barrier to lock in soothing emollients that promote long-term wear without drying or harming lashes. A moisturizing combination of panthenol, vitamins A & E, and jojoba seed oil hydrates and soothes lashes to keep them soft, light, and flexible.

Questions & Answers for Too Faced Lashgasm Mascara

Question
removal
Does this form 'tubes' like others and removes with soap and water?

I highly recommend removing the mascara with makeup remover, as soap and water irritates the eyes and doesn't get all the product off, even if it appears to do so. Sephora makeup removers are really good and are affordable as well, so investing in them is better than ending up with sensitive eyes.

It doesn't form tubes. It gets sticky when wet but it does all wash off with soap and water or some type of make up remover pad.

Didn't come off in tubes (like Fiberwig does). I actually had to scrub a little too with eye makeup remover, which is odd because it took so long to dry... even then I woke up with some black under my eyes. The best non-tube mascara that seemed easy to remove (for me, anyway) has been Hourglass Superficial Lash. It removes easily with remover or oil.

No, it does not form tubes, but it also does not remove with soap and water. I use Clinique's Take the Day Off to remove it cleanly.

No, unfortunately, it does not come off in "tubes." It has been rather difficult for me to remove without a makeup remover, which I do not like.

No. Removes easily with soap and water and does not contain fibers so there are no 'tubes' that flake off.

Washes off easily with soap and water. I use Johnson's baby wash to remove face/eye makeup and it comes off with that, warm water, and just a gentle lather (no rubbing or scrubbing the eyes).

It could very well be. When it was raining out, I didn't have an umbrella and it didn't run.

No, I would not consider this waterproof.

I had a bad day the day after I got this and I was in tears and the mascara was all over my white pillow case.

It is not-- it really doesn't run and I have not had any problems with it-- but I would not wear it if you think you may be crying (weddings, etc.).

I do not believe it's waterproof - no where does it state that but it doesn't flake and I've never had a problem with racoon eyes

It is mildly waterproof. It gets a little sticky when wet, so if your lashes touch your eyelid or under your eye then it may get a little on those parts.

It's not waterproof, but doesn't flake through out the day, so that helps with not having raccoon eyes.

I have been using Too Faced's mascara products for years and have never really had a problem with "racoon eyes". Their other product Lash Injection was the first one I tried and once in a blue moon it would smear; however, most likely as a result of me rubbing my eye or something like that. I have had this mascara Lashgasm for a couple months and have never once had an issue with any type of smearing, but it is not waterproof.

It does flake a little, but you don't get raccoon eyes. The flakes are much more forgiving and easier to remove than the raccoon stains some mascaras leave behind.

Question
Comparable to Clinique's High Impact?
Hey there! I always use Clinique's High Imact mascara, which makes my eyelashes look GREAT, but I'm the kind of person who is always looking for a better product, especially in mascaras. So, is it comparable to H.I.? Is the formula comparable, too? Lastly, what I need most out of my mascara is volume, with a lot of length. I also like it to be really black, dramatic, and, of course, non-clumpy (my lashes clump very easily). Thanks!

I have used both, and being picky about mascara's like yourself, I prefer Lashgasm over H.I, for sure. It's pretty much the perfect mascara, and coming from me, that's saying a lot.

I, too, have used and loved Clinique's High Impact mascara. I also have greatly enjoyed Lashgasm. Similarities being that they both separate and darken lashes very well, but the Lashgasm has what I would call shorter and 'spikier' bristles on the wand. I really like both and would recommend Lashgasm.

Question
Why isn’t this mascara listed with the paraben free products?
New year so double checking all my staple cosmetics are paraben free. When searching for mascaras and much to my dismay Lashgasm, my most important piece of make-up. isn’t listed. So I double checked the ingredients, and no parabens as far as I can tell.

So am I missing something?

Dagnabit! I checked on the Too Faced website and they have an FAQ page. On it they list all the products that are made without parabens. Sadly Lashgasm isn’t listed. Arg. Now I gotta find a new everyday mascara.

answer 2
Parabens sometimes aren't listed in the ingredients, as it's a rather sticky subject, and some cosmetic companies don't really want to make it easy for customers to find out if they're in the product. A surefire way to know if something is paraben-free is to go onto the Sephora page for the product and go to the "What it is formulated WITHOUT:" part. If it's paraben-free, you'll definitely see it there! I just did it for this mascara, and it doesn't say anything at all. But if you wanted to be REALLY sure, you could contact Too Faced by way of phone. Their number is on some of their product cases. I hope this helped, and I think I'm going to the phone to do the same thing. I love this mascara, but....not parabens!

Question
comparison to size queen?
I have the Too Faced Size Queen mascara and LOVE it, but the brush drives me crazy! I was wondering if this is a very similar formula w a normal-sized brush or if they are two completely different formulas?

Lashgasm's brush is not as large as the Size Queen brush, it's a much better product in my opinion. I tried the Size Queen mascara and it went in the trash because of that stupid, STUPID brush.
