It slemms like roses, which I think is great! I actually wear it when I wear my rose perfume. It compliments it beautifully! :)

If you like regular Vaseline, you shouldn't have any issue with this product. It smells, tastes, and looks like Vaseline. The only difference is the color...and Rosebud Salve tends to have a slightly lighter feel (not as thick and greasy as Vaseline).

the original has a hint of roses. it smells great to me. i highly recommend this tube- its a miracle worker.
carmex on the other hand works well too. but when your not using it your lips tend to be drier than normal. i recommend using a petrolatum(petroleum) base product. like *rosebud salve in a tube*
also, personally i wouldnt get anything in a tin because sticking n your fingers can cause bacteria in it and then spread. application in a tube will do you better justice. Rosebud salve is a multitasker. must try it!

The taste is very light and although "rose" isn't something you'd normally think of as a flavor, it's very nice and refreshing. As to a comparison to Carmex--it doesn't have the same cooling sensation that Carmex has, but I'm not sure about Rosebud's healing properties.

It has a nice slightly rose like scent and it works great on my chapped lips. I have the tin and I have the tube. The tube is great for my purse. I also use a lip brush with the tin since sticking my fingers in the product doesn't appeal to my good hygiene side.

It smells about like rose tea with a hint of something like chamomile or mint. It is a pleasent smell, and it is not over powering either.

The regular rosebud doesn't taste like anything, but does miracles on my cuticles and lips- and where my cat scratches my hands and forearms- I don't have cold sores, so can't comment. I do not like Carmex-drying

answer 8
The scent is very light and not medicinal like Carmex.
The healing level is similar in my experience without the funky flavor and scent.

Try the Rosebud, it is even better than the Strawberry, I only purchased the strawberry once, I didn't care for the scent.

The original Rosebud Salve in its pretty tin smells like delicate spring roses - and has practically no taste...maybe just a bit like roses. The berry formula does taste a bit like berrys - and I love that taste on my lips. The menthol or mint formulas might be better for cold sores. The new tube is the same formula as the original rose scent. I use it as a lip gloss - and for chapped lips.

To answer your question about the smell, you can smell the rose scent, but it's not very strong. I used to use something in a tin, and I think opening the tin, and exposing all of it really enveloped your whole space with the smell (my husband hated it when i would use the stuff around him). They make special products specifically for cold sores at most drugstores, so if that ever happens again, just go for the cold sore product.
I kind of feel that, in the tube, only a little comes out and you're not exposed to a lot of smelly product at once.
Compared to carmex... carmex has a sort of menthol feeling to it. I would compare this to vaseline, but a little thicker. It might sound nasty, but it really isn't. I think the consistency is even smoother than carmex.

the scent is really nice. It's like a light johnson and johnson like scent(but VERY light)mixed with a little rose. I love it. Im sensitive to smells myself but absolutely love this product.
This tube version isn't as thick in texture.
