Question
Clarisonic didn't work, will this help?
I tried the Clarisonic for about 4 months and it actually made my adult acne worse (I kept breaking out)! I'm wondering if I try this, will it have the same effect? Does anyone else struggle with adult acne that has tried this with success? Thanks everyone!

on Revolve 400X Micro-Polishing System

I tried the clarisonic twice a day for a month straight and it literally did nothing for me. I returned it and bought this and I noticed a big difference right away. Clarisonic is more for deep cleaning but if you already clean your face properly you probably won't notice much of a difference after using it. This is an exfoliater so it will literally take off dead skin and make more of a difference.

This works wonders for acne scarring. I had some on each cheek under the cheekbones and 2x a week with DDF has made a huge difference. Clarisonic (I have the Mia) is good for deep cleansing but will not exfoliate as well. The 'crystals' that come w/ DDF are gentle but very effective. I recommend the DDF Revolve if you want as close to a pro micro as you can get without the cost

I have HORRIBLE acne, and yes, this helped. But to be fair, I use it as part of my skincare system and not the only thing. What this helps with is taking off that top layer of crud that is part of blocked pores. But at a certain age, acne is more about hormones and what we are putting in our bodies than the dead skin that is just laying on our bodies. My advice from one acne gal to another would be to use this a couple times a week, but every day use a good glycolic acid based cleanser and don't let anyone take the Benzoyl Peroxide out of your hands. BPO at night and Salicylic Acid during the day...and DO NOT forget the sunscreen.

I haven't tried the Clairsonic, but with this one I've noticed a very positive change in my skin. I've always really liked DDF products, so I figured I'd give this a try. I usually wash my face with either the Amore Pacific facial cleanser or Clean & Clear Advantage 3-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser. The Amore Pacific is more mild, but the Clean & Clear cleanser has benzoyl peroxide in it, and I've noticed that works better with my acne.

I had some minor break outs the first time I used this product, but I think they were just the result of my skin being cleaned from inside out. I am very pleased with the smooth clean look of my skin with continued use of both the deep cleaning and microdermabrasion tools.
