What it is:A weightless setting spray that keeps makeup looking just-applied for up to 16 hours. What it does:Is makeup meltdown ruining your midnight mojo? Mist on this weightless spray to give your makeup serious staying power. Developed in an exclusive partnership with SKINDINÄVIA, this groundbreaking, clinically tested formula is suitable for all skin types and features patented Temperature Control Technology. It actually lowers the temperature of your makeup to keep foundation, eyeshadow, blush, and concealer in place—even in hot and humid or cold and windy conditions. The result? Smoother-looking skin and vibrant makeup that lasts all day (or night) without melting, cracking, fading, or settling into fine lines. What it is formulated WITHOUT:- Parabens- Sulfates - Phthalates What else you need to know: Unlike similar products on the market that feel sticky or tight on your skin, the sprayer delivers a microfine mist that goes on so light, you’ll hardly feel it—and once you’ve applied it, you won’t even know it’s there. Research results: In a 7-day clinical study of All Nighter: - 78% of participants said All Nighter helped their makeup last for 16 hours - Over 80% said their makeup not only looked better, it stayed on better (even in the T-zone) without settling into fine lines - Whether they had combination, oily, or dry skin, 88% or more said All Nighter was the best product to help their makeup last

That's the great thing about sephora , you can get multiple opinions and decide which you want to try. I put it under my make up some days (when it's extra hot outside ) and over my makeup on other days. Try it both ways and see which you prefer . Good luck

Question
This or DeSlick?
I'm looking for a good setting spray for every day and special occasion use. I have combination/oily skin, with clogged and visible pores, T-zone shininess, but also dry patches. Which is better for me: this or DeSlick? Thanks.

If you only get oily in your tzone i would recommend using a regular primer on your face and then either spray de-slick on your face before your makeup or after (but not both times unless your really oily). De-slick works amazing in my opinion but i have combo skin too like yours and i don't really use it in the winter months just spring and summer. I would recommend de-slick for spring and summer and special occasions cause it will last you through anything and the all nighter long-lasting for fall and winter when its colder.

I have similar skin. Combination with an oily T-Zone. I tried the All Nighter version and it was okay. Definitely go with the De Slick version. I have enlarged pores also, and this did not settle into my pores. Imediately your skin will look less powdery, if you use a finishing powder, but won't by any means leave you looking oily. It lasts for around 3 hours before I have to touch my powder.

I am a freelance hair/MUA and yesterday I used them both on all my prom girls. Honestly, I prefer using the De-Slick for events because over time, oil just naturally appears so I feel like it's better matte than shiny! For the daytime the All Nighter spray works wonders.

Bottom line: Day long event= De Slick

I have similar skin and this spray made my makeup look kinda clumpy at the end of the day.

I, unfortunately, have go pretty heavy (dark acne scarring-TMI, I know) with foundation and powder and my powder doesn't like this spray.

If you don't use powder, or heavy makeup, I would give this a go.

You can get a mini version for about $10 before you commit to a full sized bottle, too.

I believe you should use BOTH products. Ask a rep. -- if your skin is oily, you want to mattify it before you apply your foundation. This product will definitely work to hold your make up IN PLACE, but only if your skin routine and makeup routine does not make your skin any oilier than it already is. Hope this helps.. :)

I was trying to decide between this and de-slick, and I asked one of the girls at the store when I was buying. She said that unless you have SUPER oily skin, like really insanely oily, the regular all-nighter formula will work fine. I would recommend this first, and if it doesn't work out you can just return for the de-slick one.

I'd say especially since you have a combination of oily and non-oily skin, try this first.

I have oily skin as well with large pores on my nose (cute huh?) the way I was able to make this product successfull for me was to use a good foundation primer first (sephora brand for oil control or make up forever) then apply my foundation as usual with a good setting powder (bare minerals is what works foe me) then apply the all nighter to set it all. the foundation primer helps w/oil absorbtion and shrink the apperance of larg pores then the all nighter helps with holding it all on for the night! Good luck hope this suggetion helps

Can this work with a tinted moisturizer?
Today I cried and my tinted moisturizer smeared off and I didn't even swipe my eyes. I just patted underneath my eyes. But I love my tinted moisturizer (the Korres oil-free tinted moisturizer). I would love to be able to not worry about my tinted moisturizer smearing off when I cry.

It works really well with tinted moisturizer. I use Laura Mercier's oil-free tinted moisturizer and I have had no problems. I dust MUFE's HD Microfinish Powder after I apply the tinted moisturizer and before I spray All-Nighter on. I do recommend applying your mascara and letting it dry before using All-Nighter. I've had problems with smearing mascara (waterproof no less) if I apply All-Nighter first.

Probably. I didn't use with tinted moisturizer, but used moisturizer and then Bare Minerals foundation, and it worked well with that. (And I'd had a problem in the past when I cried with the Bare Minerals and it streaked, like what you had happen.) If you live near a Sephora, go try a sample and see how it works for you.

I find that this spray works better with full coverage liquid foundation than anything else. It truly is a MIRACLE product when it comes to that. However, for my everyday make up which is a tinted moisturizer, concealer, light powder, a little blush, natural eyes and lips, this does little to nothing to make it as long lasting as a full on face. This product is a MUST have, but if you're strictly an easy doer on products, I would think twice before investing.

This helps to set your makeup, and it also helps to make it last longer. If you frequently touch your face, eventually it will start to come off. If your just kissing someone it won't rub off onto the other person. You should purchase the travel size, and test it out. Don't forget to prep your skin with a primer before you apply any makeup on.

I don't have oily skin so it's a bit hard for me to say if your results will be the same, however, I had problems before with foundation where I'd get a runny nose and wipe my nose and all my foundation was gone. Not so with this product -- I don't even see foundation on the kleenex. So it definitely slows down the process.

I have not seen another makeup setting spray UD has in their line up (It's called De-Slick and is specifically formulated for oily skin) at sephora, so if you try this product (say with a sample in the store) and find that it's not satisfactory, you may want to look into the de-slick and see if it's better before throwing in the towel altogether.

I don't know if you already do this, but a primer will work wonders in your case. I can't live w/o my primer. It preps the skin and makes your makeup last the entire day. Try the one for oily skin. At worst return it. The only product I know for certain that works for large pores is Burt's Bees complexion mist. It's good for a pore touch up, but the effects don't last long. It easily makes ur lips way chapped due to the citrus content.

I also have the same issue. This setting spray made didn't fix that problem.

I now use a smoothing silicon primer (Smashbox) and/or an oil free moisturizing gel (Clinique) as a base under my makeup, as I have dry yet somehow oily skin.

I would suggest a primer that's suited to your skin type underneath your foundation.

I also recommend using a fluffy powder brush and loose powder if you aren't already. Go light on the powder, and bring some with you for touch ups during the day and/or get oil blotting sheets.

Hope this is helpful!

I use this product over loose powder and it works fine, de-mattifies it a bit, but doesn't cake or streak.

This stuff works great over loose and pressed powders as well as any other medium you might put on your face (though I have not tried it with grease paint...yet)

Yes, just be sure that you don't have the bottle too close to your face, the further away the lighter and more even the spritz.

Yes, I was skeptical at first thinking spraying liquid over my finished make up will ruin my gergous make up but it works perfectly fine and before you know your skin absorbs the liquid. However, for me, my combination skin requires Urban DEcay Smooth Operator first, before I use this spray. Two of them together makes a perfect team!

HINT: Look for reviews written by those in your age group!
I'm in the 45-54 age catagory (I think those are ages?). Especially for make-up & skin care products, a review written by a 17, 24 or even 34 year old, most often is not apropos or of any benefit to me.

I've used it to set powder bronzer on my body and it works well. It also sets cream eyeshadow so I can only imagine it would set cream brozers, too.

No color is added through use of this product. Makes everything stay in place and last long. Hours. Applied at 1:30 PM, lasted until 12:30 AM.

Yeah it'll set anything! I often put bronzer on my chest/shoulders for party nights and this works super well, if you have a lot of body hair though i would suggest shaving it off because this stuff can have your makeup clump onto hair. Hope this was helpful!

Yes it"s great for setting body bronzer. I use this on top of my Nars laguna body bronzer (on my legs) and it doesn't smudge or move at all.

Nothing about the product would interfere with using it on your body. If you know it works with your face, it wont be a problem for the rest of your body. Traditionally people refrain only from using body products on faces because they may include oil or fragrances that may irritate your skin or cause you to break out because your face is more sensitive than the rest of your body. Using face prodcts on the body is fine though. Please do keep in mind that although it will work as well on your body as on your face friction from clothing and other environmental factors may reduce it's effectiveness. That's however not the fault of the product, but the way you are using it.

Question
does it help for a sweaty face?
My problem is excessive sweating of the face which causes all my makeup to melt or slide. Will this spray help me avoid a sweaty face and keep my makeup in place?

It will help, but with my oily skin (from sweating) it's not as long lasting as it claims to be. It definitely does make a difference!

I wouldn't use it to go work out with full makeup on, however if its humid where you live or you're going to be dancing all night- this is definitely a great product to keep your makeup on. I just wouldnt get used to wearing it everyday.

my eye makeup doesn't melt away with this product, even if i am sweating. i think the best thing to do is buy the small travel size to try it. that way, if you love the product, you can buy the big size and refill the small one to keep in your purse. and if you don't love it, then you haven't wasted all that much. i really do love this stuff.

It will set your makeup and keep it from moving, but if you sweat, you will still sweat--it is not specifically an anti-perspirant product. But I have worn it when I was dripping sweat down my face and my makeup still looked as good as when I put it on.

everyone's skin type is so different, so it is hard to say, but I apply this right after I put my foundation on my skin. I let my foundation set (about 5 minutes) then I apply this and it seems to help. To reduce oil, I finish my look with a mineral powder. If you have excessive sweating look for an oil absorbing product or maybe see a dermatologist...

It didn't stop me from sweating but my make-up didn't run off my face either so just lightly pat/dab the sweat off & hopefully you will be good to go as well!
