I was concerned about the smaller tip too. I have yet to order this from Sephora (waiting for tax refund :D) and do not know if the small tip is included in the system. However, I did notice that they do sell the small tip with replacement filters at www.shopNBC.com. I would rather buy the system from Sephora, and then order the fine tip online, as opposed to ordering the whole system from the infomercial. At least you get rewards and the warranty/return policy from Sephora. Hopefully Sephora will start selling the small tip replacement soon.

According to the informercial there is new precision tip designed for the hard to reach areas. The 3 NuBrillance tips available are fine, coarse, and precision.

You need to make sure that the tip is making FULL contact with your skin. Also you need to ensure that your holding the wand perpendicular to the surface of your skin.

I thought I was having problems with low suction until I just changed the way I was holding the wand.

When I first bought mine 2/26/11 I thought the suction was not as strong as they warned in the video, so I was bumping it up to 3-5 notches before the first week was out. I never did have any suction with the small tip. After I had it a little over 2 weeks, it just stopped sucking at all. I even took the head off and set it on 5 and all it was doing was blowing air out. I took it in and exchanged it, and the new machine sucks so strong I never use it above level 1, and I can even do my whole face with the small tip. There is definitely a problem with a few defective machines out there, so if you are not getting serious suction you should take it in for an exchange immediately. Sephora is VERY accommodating with returns and exchanges.

It seems a bit silly to answer my own question, but I found a good solution (in reviews here actually) and after trying it with success I thought I'd post here in case anyone else has the same problem. Someone reviewing this mentioned that they tried letting the machine Warm Up (plugged in and ON) for about 5 minutes before using.

I tried this and it did make a Big difference in the amount of suction coming from the machine. Thanks to the person who posted that!

I dont really know either.. I've noticed that too but I assumed the tip needed changing, which is disappointing because I'm having to change the tips more often than stated and they're not exactly cheap to have to keep replacing... I think that may be more of the issue, at least my issue with the suction on my machine.

Yes, without a doubt. I have had professional microdermabrasion treatments in the past and I was equally pleased with the results from the NuBrilliance. The first time I used it, I thought it had weak suction, but I quickly realized that I didn't have a good seal. As soon as I got the hang of using it, I found the suction to be quite strong. By my second treatment, I had the knack of it so it doesn't take long to learn how to use if effectively.

I have purchased expensive gadgets before, and have been quite happy with the results (ghd, Clairsonic, Temptu), but NOTHING compares to the value of this investment. Just imagine the cost of having professional microdermabrasion 2 - 3 times a week! That would get quite expensive in a hurry. And as nice as the Clairsonic is (and I still use it a few times a week), if I had to pick only one, it would be no contest. The NuBrilliance would win hands down.

So worth it!!! I have had it for a week and you should see the difference in my skin tone. I am still working on some of my nasty pores and my skin is so soft.

I am 34 (35 in a few months) and don't have many wrinkles (if any at all) and I use this. I do have very large pores, clogged pores, and oily skin, though. And this helps considerably with that.

I have a red- and blue-light device (ANSR) and I prefer this to the red light. I think proper exfoliation is paramount in keeping skin looking good and feeling healthy.

ps - if you do buy this, do the microdermabrasion first and then the blue- and red-lights.

Absolutely NOT! That area is much too delicate.

no, you cannot use it under the eye area

It states in the instruction manual that you can use the tip for around 10 times. You have to replace the filter after every use (you get 20 filters with the system)

You should ask a Sephora representative specifically.

The instructions that came with my system say that it can be used up to 2 times/ week. If you aren't sensitive, this will be idea for you with that frequency of use.
