There was a beauty insider sample with shampoo, conditioner, and the lite hair milk. The three bottles were kind of opaque, and in a clear pouch. I am not aware if there were other smaller samples of it, separately, too. Hope this helps!

If I'm understanding you, I would say yes, it's the same product. There was a packaging change. When I purchased this in-store they had some of the old and some of the new packaging, but it's the same thing, bearing in mind that there is a "Hair Milk" and a "Hair Milk Lite" formula.

In my experiences -- yes. I have frizzy, brittle hair and this product makes it soft and curly. The product takes some getting used to... if you use too much the hair gets weighed down.

lite is lighter weight, so it doesn't lay so heavy on your curls. If you have really fine hair that you don't want to lie flat or greasy I think it's better.

The lite has a lighter scent and the moisture does not last as long as the original. Otherwise they are pretty close.

I think the main difference between the original and the lite is that the lite is less oily so if you are looking for a "light" product that tames frizz and gives curl boost then the lite is for you. The original is for fizz taming also but is a little heavier for moisturizing ans well as defining curls. The lit and the original smell different as well.

The lite version (curl booster) is not as moisturizing as the regular version (curl definer.) I received a sample as well and it was the regular version. The regular works great if I wear my hair curly, but on straight hair, makes it look very greasy, so I stick with the lite on straight hair.

I wouldn't recommend this product for you. My hair is in between 4a and 4b (I can't figure out which category I belong to) and it did nothing for my hair. I would suggest Jane Carter Solutions Curl defining cream. It's pricey but actually does what it says :)

for soft relaxed hair this product will drench your hair with moisture, i like to apply it right after i towel dry my shampooed hair. Just make sure to apply in moderation, it could way down your soft relaxed hair if to much is added.

I like what it does for my hair. I don't use it alone, I use other products with it. Without it, I don't get the curly effect I want. My hair is short, natural and kind of thick and nappy but this product makes my hair look like I have soft curly hair. I love it, you have to try it for yourself to get the real result you're looking for. Just know, it's expensive.

yes you can, I think it depends on how curly you want you hair to be. Using both dose not make it any curlier than the other product alone. And both products are anti-frizz.

Hello, I looked at the ingredients of the lite booster version vs. the original definer. They are very similar. I'm torn between these 2. This may be a crazy questions, but do you think I could buy the original (which is heavier) and just mix a little water in my hand with the product to make it a little less heavy and still be able to reach all my hair with out using to much product which would make my hair oily...? I'm hispanic with very long wavy/curly hair, with frizz sometimes..I know live in a humid climate and sometimes have more frizz than I'm used to, and I don't necessarily want as much body has my hair now has.Thanks!

I bought the lite product for the reasons you talked about and I find it is not too heavy but does help with frizz.. I use a little bit more than they recommend because my hair is thick and shoulder length.

I think you can but the results would not be as consistent unless you mix very well before applying. Instead I would use the lite most days and then the definer when it is super muggy. Hope this helps
