i think u could, if ur nervous about it try the Lite formula since she is a child. this will definitely help with the dryness. and use a little cuz this tends to make hair very greasy.

Absolutely hair milk would be a good for kids. I think that both mom and daughter will appreciate the softness and manageability that it adds to hair. In addition, the hair milk ingredients are mostly if not all natural so I think that is also safe for her hair.

I think this product would be perfect for a child's hair. I use it for my 5 year old. I use both the Shea Butter Hair Sheen and the Hair Milk together. It makes his hair look very nice. He has a very low hair cut.

I am no expert. However, I have not been disappointed by any CD product yet. I I recommend not only the hair milk, but the tui jojoba shea butter sheen and healthy hair butter. A little goes along way. If you dampen his hair and gently work it in to his hair. I have no doubt you should be please with the results. If you like your results add the shampoo and conditioner hair mik to the mix. My results were amazing. I use the hair milk and marguerite's magic on my small children too. My best advice is to get a sample at Sephora and try it!

It can't hurt to try, but the expense might prove too great for a 15 month old baby's usage. I would try Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizer first. Try wetting his hair down a little and then applying either the hair milk or Pink Oil Moisturizer. that should help. He's 15 months, he should have had his customary 1 year hair cut by now! :)

It can be used, but it may not give you the results you want. Especially with coarse hair, it may not be moisturizing enough.

It will definately help. This product works best if the hair is still damp. Towel dry after washing it or use a little of the Black Vanilla Leave In Conditioner on the hair. Next, use a dime size amount of the Hair Milk on the hair. It (e.g., Hair Milk) is all natural. Thus, chemicals are not a concern.

I dunno! Thats a good question. I dont think it will take away the wave, but Im not sure it will do just what your looking for. I use this on my daughters hair and it enhances a very tight curl that she has, so Im not quite sure what it will do to a wave.

I have never tried carols daughter products with any other product. I think to get the full benefit of the product, you should use it alone to make sure it's doing what it should be doing. Then, if more moisture is needed, apply a moisturizer.

I can only imagine that this product will work on wave neuveau. I don't see why not. I was actually contemplating getting the wave neuveau or even the texturizer in my hair but the relaxer hasn't grown out enough of my hair. I wondered how my hair would come out. I need it softer but not too straight. My hair is curly and straight.

I say try the lite version if you are worried about it being too heavy for her scalp. It's free from most of the ingredients that way your hair down and it's natural.

I would think this would be great for your daughter. I have very thick, naturally curly hair too and use it to tame my curls and add moisture. It's great for a de-tangler too. Just remember to use a little bit. It really does go a long way.

i rather like to put on her the leave in conditioner, since she has fine hair and the hair milk is a little bit thick for her fine hair.
Carol's Daughter came out with a line for Kids i have the leave in contioner that is just for kids.

The only thing about this product that I don't like is that it dries your hair out completely. You can use it on a child but make sure you apply a moisturizer like shea butter.

I would think it would work great on your daughter's hair but be sure to use a very small amount or it will look 'wet' or 'oily'.

I have african american-hair that is very thick. I just chopped of my permed hair in March and all of my new growth is mega thick. The best advice I can give you without seeing your hair. Is to use the hair milk on wet or damp hair and air dry. Oh! and by the way, apply it by scunching it like in the video on the CD website and leave it alone. When it is almost dry you can shape it it if you like. If it too dry after this process for you, try using her balm and elixir before you apply the hair mik. This is my process and I even use her stay-put (kizzi) every now and then on my ends never the scalp and I get alot of compliments about how soft and wonderful my hair looks and smells. I almost wish I had always been natural because of her products. Be blessed!

Carol's Daughter gears her products for all women of color, not just African American, so I think your usage of this product would be the same as directed for African American women. I've know non-African American women to get their hair hot combed and used what was typically "Black" hair products with great success. Just be careful of how much you use at first. To see how your hair will react.

This product claims to be made for hair that is medium or coarse in texture. If your hair is finer, you may want to try the Light Hair Milk or it could weigh your hair down. It's very oily and it can be easy to use too much.

use just a dime size of the product on your hair after it has been towel dried, and then style as usual.

I have long, curly hair so I pour about a quarter-size amount (you might need a little less depending on how long your hair is) into the palm of my hand, rub my hands briskly together to distribute evenly, and then pull my hands through my hair from my roots through to the ends of my hair. I put a little extra Hair Milk on my ends when I'm done as they tend to get dry and look frizzy so this helps keep them looking healthy and soft!

If your hair texture is fine rather than coarse, no matter what your skin color, you only need to use a tiny amount. Think pea-sized for short to medium length hair.

Same use on anybody's curls: apply to damp hair, let air dry or gently diffuse.

I think it is because this product is more for African-American hair. I'm a white girl with blonde, curly hair and this product is too heavy for me. I would try the "light" version...I haven't tried the "light" version, but for sure the original is way too heavy on my hair.

I wash my hair at night myself and have only used Hair Milk when my hair is dry. So far it's worked great on me! I've used this product for about 2 years now - you'll love it!

I have the same sort of schedule as you, and if you put it in at night, when it's wet, and then scrunch your hair a bit, you won't have to do anything to your hair in the morning. I don't recommend it on dry hair, but sometimes I smooth a bit of it in my dry hair in the morning to keep the frizz down.

It says to apply to damp hair but sometimes I use it on both wet and dry hair and it seems to work on both but if you want to get optimal effects, maybe you should only use on damp hair.

Yes, this will tame curls/frizz even when your hair is dry! If I have a little frizz left over once my hair is dry, I put a tiny amount on my fingers and work it into the trouble spots!

I have below the shoulder, curly/wavy, blond, hightlighted hair and really like this product. My texture has a little of everything from course to fine. If your hair is fine, I've heard that they have a lighter version of this product that might be better for you???? I mix this with curl enhancing gel (Pantene) and dry about 3/4 of the way and my curls look better than they have in years and best of all, no crunch like I've had for many years. The curls are soft, defined, and my hair doesn't feel dry. Might be worth a try... Good Luck!

I cant tell you if this product will work for fine hair but i dont have african american type curls (mine are loser) and this product works well for me.

You would do better using the Hair Milk Lite. It would not weight your hair down since it is fine.

I'm 18 with medium length "white girl" hair and my hair is naturally very very soft and oily at the roots and this product works wonderfully!

A young white woman guided me to this product because it worked for her. She has long hair not fine but not thick either.

Curl booster is better on dry hair

ladies, please understand, a curl BOOSTER is for hair that wants to be curly but falls flat. A curl DEFINER is for hair that is already curly, but just kinda turns into a fluffy mess.

a curl definer. i have used curl boosters and it just makes your hair more frizzy.

It really depends on how you treat your natural hair. I found that when my natural hair was wet, it was horrible, but when I dried it with a blow dryer, combed it out, then used it; it brought more of a defined curl to my hair, and moisterized it better. If you have a curl booster, it may work great, not sure, becasue I have natural hair. :(

THis product will most likely weigh down your hair and even though your hair is thick it will most likely get greasy because that's what happened to me.

It did nothing for my curl pattern, except make it look bad. Don't buy this. Or if you do, be prepared to return it.

I think this product is well worth a try. It makes my hair soft and touchable, not heavy or crunchy at all.

My experience has been that the Hair Milk is a curl encourager, but not drastically so. If you are looking for a drastic curl definition, this is not the product, however, if you are looking for something to soften, moisturize and slightly define your curl pattern, then this is a winner.

I think that this will work on dry frizzy hair well, although the next day you will definately feel like you want to wash your hair.

Yes! I too have long, dry and very thick curly hair and love this product. I use the shampoo and conditioner as well so I believe it's an added bonus but I would recommend this product. I have noticed that my hair is a lot less dry and has added shine since I started using this. Unlike most products where we have to add much more then the recommend amount I find that this goes a long way. I was so used to adding a lot of product that the first couple of days my hair seemed weighed down but I cut the amount down and now my curls are defined yet bouncy and natural. This is the best $20 I've spent on product.

Yes, I believe it will work for your long curly hair as long as it is applied moderately. My daughters hair is excessively dry and coarse so I added a little more to her hair when I pull it up in a ponytail. Her hair went from fragile, brittle and dry to shiny, nourished and easy to manage. Her ponytail curl was smooth and her ends appeared more smooth and tamed. Hope this helps. :-)
