I left mine open overnight by accident and the same thing happened to me. I just warmed it up with my finger by rubbing in circles a few times and it seemed to soften it back up. Hope this helps!

If your MUFE aqua cream is hardening in the jar, you are probably dealing with one of two issues (or possibly a combination):

1) Your pot is just really old, in which case you probably don't want to be putting that stuff on/around your eye anyway. Throw it out and get a fresh pot!
2) You aren't recapping tightly enough. This can be a problem with cream pots of all kinds. I have to screw those lids on REALLY TIGHTLY to prevent dry-out. You could also try putting your pots in a zippy bag after use for extra protection.

Basically: the only way to prevent dry-out is to limit your product's exposure to air. The longer you have it (and use it), the more exposure it gets, so keeping those jars tightly sealed is the priority here, no matter how you do it.

It's used the same way as any eyeshadow, as you see fit. I wouldnt recommend this for someone very old though, it has a lot of shine to it, and can clump if the eyelid area isnt smooth when applying.

i love the aqua creams. i apply them to the lid as a base color OR u can use em as a liner (depending on color apply to cheeks n lips too). great multi-tasking product. They dry down fast so apply n blend QUICK!

I use a flat makeup brush and 'paint' in on my eyelid. A little goes a LONG way. If you want a more pigmented look, I let it dry for a minute, then reapply but pat it on.
I used to hate cream shadows because of creasing...Makeup Forever does not crease and it lasts through everything!

You can use a brush or your finger but the easiest way to manipulate a cream shadow is with your finger. Use your middle finger since is the most padding and your eyes are the most sensitive feature on your face. Lightly dab the color onto your lid and blend it out depending on how sheer you want it to be. I reccomend using an eye primer underneath so the shadow stays on all day.

I love these shadows! They are great for applying in the same areas you would apply a regular eyeshadow. Just blend the color on to your lids however high up you'd like to go.

I have seen tutorial online where they use the aqua creams as primers for dramatic looks. I personally don't us a primer with them because I like to look more natural in my everyday life.

yes, I use this as a base all the time. Make sure to work in THIN coats. Otherwise, you'll get creasing, or it pulling up when you're blending shadow on top.

How long is this product good after you open it?

I would like to know how long this product is good for after you open it (ie when is it recommended to replace, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year?) -- I am concerned about bacteria in the product since I would apply this to my eyelids. Never used cream shadows before and am wondering if you need to replace them as often as say mascara or if they last a little longer.

I dont care about the alleged bacteria, so Ive had my creams for a year or so. They are just a little dry by now, i think they'll last forever.

Do you use a brush to apply the eyeshadow? If so, get the anti-bac brush cleaning spray. I use that on my brushes about once a week, plus I wash them daily. It depends on how much of the shadow you apply, but mine have lasted forever. I'm on about 6 months on my favorite shadow and it's not even half gone, and I wear it everyday. Hope that helps!

Thanks Rachel. I actually owned the cheek color but it went "missing" from my bed tray while I was in the hospital on bed rest during my pregnancy. While I was rushed to the OR for an emergency c-section of course! Sucks. I loved it. I really wanted to get another one. It rocked. Dang thieves.
