Hello,

You can use your fingers or a flat synthetic brush like the Sephora Collection Pro Cream Eyeshadow Brush #25.

I use this as an overall eye base, which is gorgeous, and the best method i've found is my finger. since i'm putting all over, i don't need the presicion of a brush. of course, as a liner, crease color, etc, i'd use a brush. shade 18 adds an ethereal base to any shadow look.

I got this tip from a Sephora SA at King of Prussia today... if you put a thin base of powder shadow on first it makes the application a little easier to smooth out and blend. I tried it when I got home and sure enough- it does make application a little easier.

As others have said- you have to work quickly. A little goes a long way. I use a brush and my ring finger. It's worth taking the time to practice a little- once you get the hang of it, you'll be glad. It's really great stuff!

Since I found this question while looking at the aqua cream I'm going to assume you're asking about this. Personally, and since I use it as blush, I just use my finger. It's easy to blend that way and you really only need a finger tip's worth of product on each cheek. As an eyeshadow I would assume that the same is applicable, though if you want something more vibrant, try a stiff brush with a flat head to apply all over the lid. If you want to use it as an eyeliner then go for an angled brush.

they suggest finger application, since you have to be quick before the product dries and sets. However, as liner, a brush can be used in quick short strokes.

In my opinion, the best type of brush to use when applying this would be a concealer brush. You don't want something fluffy (it will waste the product and it's not the best for applying creams anyway). You want something flat and sturdy.

You're a lot like me.

If you want to have a big bang, pick plum. A plum shadow and black liner makes a big impression.

Another show-stopper is bronze. A strong bronze shadow will catch attention.

With strong eyes, you want to tone down your other features. A pale blush, either peachy or strawberry.
Top that off with some illuminator over you nose, eyebrow ridges, tops of your cheeks, and your cupids' bow will give you an angelic glow.

Finally, your lips should either stay a nude, or pale pink. A gold shimmer can compliment well, but you don't ever want a strong eye and strong lip together, or they'll battle each other.

Anyway, I'm positive you can rock those colors :)

Dont be afraid of the charcoal or deep and dark colors with light eyes. Just blend it out with a lighter shade over it, like a pink....then use a soft smudgy eyeliner on the upper lid and use a lengthening soft black mascara. It will be more natural and romantic!!! Think Soft!!! Use light pink on your cheeks and lips... with a little lighter gloss and shimmer on your upper cheek bone and mid lip for a pouty look. Day and night look for sure!!

I have green eyes and brown hair too, and purple is always a great way to make our eyes pop. #16 Pink Beige, or #17 Plum would be great for you, or even one of the silver shades. My personal favorite is #2 Steel. I also like the #15 Taupe shade, and I've even combined it with the #2 to create a really cool color, very flattering to green eyes. #18 Purple is another option.

Using a primer depends on what your skin does during the day, which is why you see both yes and no answers. If your eyelids tend to get oily, this WILL crease without using a primer (like mine). My friend who has the same product does not need a primer because her eyelids are on the drier side. Creasing will also subside if you set this with a powder.

I actually don't use a primer with this, and it stays on through swimming, dance performances, and always retains the colour it was when first applied.
I actually use the neutral colours as a base for other shadows. This is also a good idea, as it waterproofs any shadow you put on top of it.

Yes, I do use primer. And I do believe that it makes a difference! Primer will always make a difference for any eye make up application. It makes your shadow stay longer and many times helps bring out the color of your shadow better. Urban Decay has a great primer that a lot of people swear by. I use that one and a MAC product that is equally good.

Do multiple thin coats (instead of one thick one) to build up the color and you won't need a primer or a powder on top to set.

I use Urban Decay's primer potion underneath this. I don't think it affects the blendability or water-proof ness of Aquacream since it goes underneath, and I don't blend Aquacream with the UDPP. I don't think anything will happen to you if you put a shade designed for the eyes on your lips and visa versa. I wouldn't reccomend it though without reading the ingredients and making sure some things are eye safe.

answer 2
Actually, the ones that are labeled for lips and cheeks are for use anywhere, the ones not labeled for lips and cheeks are not FDA approved for these areas, because some ingredients, such as the beautiful mineral pigment chromium green, are not safe for ingestion.

So, do not worry about putting lip products on your eyes, but rather the other way around. Eye products really shouldn't not be used on your lips.

You won't keel over or anything, but it's sort of like eating lead paint chips: not a good idea. You won't die, but you could get sick if you are actually getting enough of the chemicals into your system over a longer period of time.

I use #9 Coral on my eyes. I believe a company’s concerns might be if it's a delicate enough product for your sensitive eye area, does the product have glitter or sparkle (it could potentially fall into your eye causing injury), is it drying. Check out the formulas between a similar products to see what ingrediants are different, that might cause it's limitation of use.

Hi,

Sephora isn't listing a shade 19. There's shades in the violet/purple that might be what you're interested in. There are no swatches shown for that shade and it's not listed in the breakdown of shades carried by Sephora which are:

Shades #5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 are formulated for the Lips & Cheeks.
Shades #1, 2, 3, 4, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, and 22 are formulated for the Eyes & Cheeks.

Hope this helps.

About 6 months.
Hint: This goes for all makeup products. Most cosmetic brands on the box or somewhere on the package, there is a little illustration that looks like an open jar and has a number followed by an M.
Example: 6M
This is an indicator of how long the product stays fresh for. However, if products start to smell funny, or looks kind of icky, toss it and replace it. Hope this helps! :)

My understanding is that the products don't so much come with a defined "expiration date," but rather that over time they should be changed out to avoid risk of infection. Nothing stays pure and clear forever, but I would imagine that the amount of time your makeup stays "safe" is affected by how often you wash the brushes you use with it, etc. I tend to throw out cream eyeshadows after about six months, while powders I keep longer. Mascara I never keep longer than three months. There's a great YouTube channel, called EnKore, that has tips for keeping your makeup and brushes clean and fresh.

As far as how long you can keep this product, you should be able to use it for longer than 3 months. To keep the product in "good shape", use a mini spatula, hard end of a makeup brush or butter knife to remove the cream from the container - less contamination with your fingers or dirty brushes really helps. Also, make sure to keep the lid on TIGHT. It might dry out before you can get to the bottom of the jar, if you don't.

it kind of is a waste of money if you're not planing on using it a lot! in the box it says it expires in 6 months (after opened) but what you can do with these products is take a bit of it and put it in a sample jar and use the product from that jar, that way you can avoid contamination and prevent it from drying, it might last you longer that way ;)

I would not suggest using this on your waterline. Anything that comes out of a pot, and is more of a creamy formula will end up all underneath your eyes. Stila makes a nice eyepencil that can be used on your waterline, and Sephora brand does too.

I have used it only as a shadow, with the Aqua Eyes liner and neither came off or gave me raccoon eyes...maybe you are using some thing underneath like a moisturizer, base, etc which may interfere with the product's ability to stay on.

I think that you can defiantly use it as eyeliner you just need the right brush to do it.

I'm sure you could if you use the correct brush. I used it as regular eyeliner and it stayed well

Because of the shimmer in it, I would not use it on the waterline. Anything with shimmer, glitter, and the like shouldn't be used on the waterline because of the proximity to the actual eye (unlike if you were using it to line the upper lid) it can damage your eye.
